One of the best place I've ever been to. I even had their food in one of the weddings i attended and the food was mouth watering. One of the best place for veg foods in Austin.
We loved this place. An exclusively vegetarian restaurant with lots of vegan options. I had my first vegan chai and lassi here .
Must really appreciate the efforts they are putting into catering specific needs by providing lots of dairy free and gluten free options. I hope every other Indian restaurant takes the cue and cater to vegans; instead of asking if vegan is just a short term for vegetarian.
I only went to the vegan / gluten free / oil free buffet, so I can't speak to the regular menu.
I really enjoyed all of the vegan bread options, at the time they had samosas which were my favorite!
I do wish they had regular drinks, rather than only water bottles.
It's pretty rare to have an all vegan buffet, so I really enjoyed that aspect of not having to worry about what I could eat. It was quite a treat, and you wouldn't know based on the flavor that it was gluten-free and oil-free vegan!
Excellent all-vegan buffet every other Sunday with many options! The buffet had mostly gluten free options, so wonderful for vegan/gf. They are very good with dietary restrictions, just let them know when you order. They can also provide food for parties, etc. Delicious!
The food is the most authentic I have found yet. I always order the tikka masala at Indian restaurants,
but I decided to try something new here and I was not disappointed. I had the lamb rogan josh and tried a dosa. I loved almost all of it and the 2 sauces I didn't like that came with the dosa still tasted like they were very well made, it just wasn't a flavor I prefer. Mango chutney was great also. I had a great experience here.
The food is excellent here! One of the best tasting Indian food! They have a large menu for gluten free and dairy free options. Vegan options too. Very personal customer service feeling. Not busy in the evenings so great place to grab a bite to eat when your crunch with time. This rating is based on the food and service.
The bathroom could use some updating.
Came here with a friend who was craving northern Indian food (she’d visited India years ago & missed specific dishes). The servers and owner were present and extremely friendly. The owner was very kind and held a conversation with my friend about her travels. The food was fresh and DELICIOUS, I especially loved the veggie samosas and chicken masala.
Nice lunch buffet with veggie options with free dosas. Some buffet items were cold. Delicious, super fresh garlic naan served. Fast, attentive service. Flavors not as good as the previous owner of Madras Pavilion.
Delicious food and nice ambiance inside. It was empty during the evening of Saturday when we went but I have a lovely time with my wife and we enjoyed the food. Highly recommend the Chicken 65!
We go for the vegan oil-free buffet that occurs every other Sunday from 5:30-8:30. Delicious!! Tofu tikka masala, rice patties, rice, many other dishes. They serve bottled water automatically, but also offer vegan cocktails. $15.99 per person. They have a FB page and post when the buffet occurs.
This place is excellent. The vegitarian and vegan menu is extensive and varried. The dishes were flavorful, well spiced, and the eggplant was particularly well roasted. The Indian food in Austin is generally disappointing so it was a present surprise to find this place. Looking forward to trying the buffet on the weekends.
The food here was full on taste. Ordered butter chicken along with cheese naan and it was a match made in heaven. The price here is more than what you may pay at another Indian restaurant but was worth the food to me. Would definitely visit again.
