We stopped for lunch. I had the one item combo with a pork tamale. My husband had the fajitas - beef and chicken. They also come as beef shrimp combo. Both our meals were delicious!

We've been searching for our favorite Mexican restaurant in Auburn and Agave is our current working candidate.
It's cozy, colorful, and has an extensive menu with some unexpected choices. Lengua! Cabeza!
Sam's chorizo passed the spiciness test, my posole (red) was meaty, silky, and had a full side of crispy vegetables and lime slices to add in. Altogether delicious and very generously portioned.
Mom's chicken flautas were flavorful, and both crispy and tender at the same time. Nice!
Cannot neglect to mention the flan! Super dense and just sweet enough, with a boost of chocolate to elevate it. We shared it.
The staff could be family members; our server was young, personable, and thoroughly professional.
It was chilly and rainy when we were there so we'll have to return to try out the patio, but it looks comfortable. I think I'll try the mole...
Looks like they could host your party on site or provide catering if that's your jam.

If you are looking for a sit down Mexican Food place, great service and options.. This is the place to visit. The House Tacos and the Birria Tacos are amazing.. plus the Guacamole, Chips and salsa.. are not to be left out. Indoor seating is comfy and outdoor as well. If the bar scene is your deal?? They have that as well..

This was one of the best Mexican food spots in Auburn and the service was above and beyond! The guacamole and salsa was super yummy. I had the best Chile rellano with shrimp was super flavorful. One of the best I've ever had and so much food! It was a good portion size and so much that I split it in half. I had saved the other half for my second meal.

Best Mexican I have eaten in 20 years. Truly authentic and perfectly seasoned. Didn't need salt or pepper which means a lot coming from me. Prices are a little bit high for lunch but otherwise an excellent place to eat. Sebastian was an excellent server.

Great spot to eat in auburn. Service is top notch and food is always good. Been her a number of times and tried many different things and haven't found anything that wasn't super tasty. This is the Guadalajara Burrito.
