Love Mel’s!
Went yesterday for breakfast with my kids and a friend from out of state. Service was fast and very friendly (Connie 😊) food was great. We were beaten by the portion sizes but no complaints about that!
Thank you Connie, keep up the friendly service!
Never been to a better place for breakfast... Prices are very reasonable, service and food is great! Try the Wayland Warrior if your hungry... Best muffins in town.
This is a great place to grab breakfast. They have a varied menu, cofee is good and service is friendly and timely. When you stop by grab one of the many different types of muffins they have; whatever you choose, you can't go wrong, they are all great!
I have been going to Mel’s for all of my life. Their breakfast and service are always a pleasure. They do a great lunch as well without a doubt. I recommend Mel’s highly.
08OCT2021: I needed to add kudos for Mel’s today. We ordered our breakfast through a delivery service and we did not receive all that we ordered. Before I even realized it the owner was calling me to let me know, and he then delivered the items personally without being asked to. Nothing but the best service and great food from this place for the last 50+ years!
Great place to meet a friend and have a meal. Mel's has a diner atmosphere and old style counter. Service was great

Awesome service. Food was spectacular would highly recommend if your in the area.
This place is a Wayland institution! I had steak tips and 3 eggs. It was delicious. Wife had Cape cod BLT which had a fried fish patty (kinda like filet o fish with bacon, lettuce, and tomato). Daughter had fish and chips. Son wasn't hungry and had a bowl of chowder. They were all yummy! Server was super nice.
I was really happy about Mel's. Got breakfast, pretty exciting menu, interesting specials.
Ordered the Italian sausage breakfast platter. I love that my home fries weren't overcooked, tender... Scrambled eggs were okay... the sausage was really good. Strangely, I love that they put sauteed onions in my breakfast, which really made a big difference for me. This meal stood out a bit different from the regular typical greasy spoon breakfasts. I could tell there's a bit of love and thought behind it ingredients and how it's cooked.
My son absolutely loved the avocado eggs on toast breakfast.
I believe the juices are made fresh, which was pretty awesome.
Great menu, great service, great vibe. Some places the din is overpowering and it's hard to hear your own thoughts but this place felt really light, cheery, and lively.
It might be one of my new favorite breakfast places so far in the MetroWest.
It was crowded, no line for just me and my son. Appears to be a bit of a wait for others.
We had a great time at Mel's! It was recommended to us by a local. The portions were super generous and the menu had SO MUCH to choose from! They offer both marble and light rye, which we were happy about. They did charge me $1.89 for a side of salsa for my omelet. I was not told it would cost extra when I asked for it, otherwise I would have said no.
