Good hookah, sushi, and drinks. I did find it strange that they requested to hold a card even when I offered to pay in cash. Otherwise, the waitress was pleasant and attentive. It wasn’t very crowded for a Friday night.

One of my favorites hookah spots in the DMV! It has a chill vibe, they play good music (sometimes too loud though) and the hookah flavors are pretty delicious! Came here randomly Saturday night and was disappointed they didn’t have the White Grape with Mint flavor (it used to be my favorite here!) but we got the Watermelon instead and it was good.

We were deciding on a place to chill on a Sunday night (long weekend) but we came across this place.
It's a perfect place for some decent sushi, hookah, drinks and some dancing and yes it's true.
It's amazing, we asked on put on the NBA playoffs game and they gladly did. They have two spaces, one on the outside and one inside with a dance floor.
The food is pretty good, hookah is good, drinks were good. There was a salsa dancing event thingy going on as well. The servers are good and accommodating.

Hookah and sushi? An interesting combo, right? If you like both, you’ve met your match. If you only like either sushi or hookah, it’s a great happy hour spot. Gazuza Lounge is located only a few minutes away from the Dupont Circle red line metro stop and offers some great happy hour specials. Monday through Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. you can get some cheap beer, wine, mixed drinks, and of course, the highlights - $5 classic rolls, $8 specialty rolls, and $18 Hookah. The sushi is not going to be the best you’ve ever had, but for $5 per classic roll, it’s very hard to beat. Gazuza Lounge is located on the second floor and definitely has a relaxing, chill lounge vibe. Usually, it’s not very crowded for happy hour, so you can enjoy your conversation with your friends, or just relax and eat as much sushi as you can. The people I came with who like hookah, said they offer a wide selection of good flavors. They have a bunch of TVs running sports matches, if you’re in the mood for that. Staff members are attentive, friendly, and polite – they’ll even remind you when happy hour is nearing its end.

So it was a cool experiment. I went for a gf’s bday and it was nice. I feel like they don’t use new hookah tubes, the one we received appeared to be chewed on which is concerning with the herpes thing going around on the hookah scene ( provide new tubes in plastic, opened at the table, and don’t be cheap, WE KNOW)…..So mwe loved our server, she was refreshing and attentive. I felt responsible to make sure she was cool because while we were in the cool patio/window area, it was noticeably hot near the bar bathroom area. I really wanted her to sit down to cool off but she refused (simcha (her name) or something like that), I hope management address ALL of this this, I went at night, it was HOT. Lastly guys why is there only one bathroom stall working (women’s) unacceptable !

Absolutely love this place. Food and drinks are spot on. I’ve been coming here everyday almost to watch the NBA playoffs as they have numerous big screens along with great music. Yulia is always amazing!

Even though we were not her table she saw me looking around at the bar for assistance and she made a u turn (bc she was serving other guests) but she wanted to make sure I was good and accommodated us immediately. The customer service is above the rest. You will get what you ask for in a timely manner, no matter how busy it is. The drinks are superb and the folks that serve here wants you to have a great time. I go to alot of lounges but Gazuza stands out. I have never made a review of a restaurant, hotel, or lounge before but I want to celebrate Gazuza for it's excellent service!

Service is always great. Never have had an issue with this place. Quality of the premium hookah is excellent and worth the extra $$. Def my favorite hookah lounge in the city. I’ve been a regular since I moved to DC a few years ago when Hector was still the manager. One of the few lounges where I don’t mind going solo bc everyone (front & back of house) is welcoming. The staff are friendly & attentive. Yulia and JD are amazing. It’s unfortunate that a few complainers have jeopardized the way things are operated on the floor; where staff may feel like they can no longer take a personal approach to building rapport with customers bc someone will use it against them to file a complaint. Be respectful of hospitality staff. They’re there to provide a service, not be a servant. The number of rude people I’ve seen go up to grab or aggressively touch staff to get their attn when it’s been super busy, is appalling. Hoping more of the regulars & folks who have had positive experiences will leave reviews!

Enjoyed this spot, but I thought they were a bit pricey in comparison to other hookah spots in the DMV. The food was meh, and they didn't have some of the alcohol that most bars carry (i.e. Malibu Rum).

When we first got there it was really chill and the music was playing at the perfect volume, to be able to smoke hookah, drink and actually have a conversation. Literally from one minute to the next it turned loud, ghetto and the entire vibe of the place changed completely. The management was super rude when they heard me commenting how loud the music had gotten...I refuse to spend my money in a establishment with horrible customer service, so I will never be returning nor suggesting this place to any of my friends. Sucks for this place bc it has so much potential to be dope.

Gazuza lounge partnered up with shitty promotion team that basically took our money. My friends and I bought "advance VIP" tickets for $25 promising VIP seating and treatment and such that was not delivered at all. We came in to the spot and no one checked our tickets. Neither the manager nor owner is claiming responsibility for this fiasco. So they're not getting my money again.

I will say two good things, the food and ambiance were great. The waitress and management were horrible. The waitress would not tell us her name, had a nasty attitude. The manager is a rude man, not well versed in customer service.and then the bill drama.. gratuity was added, they wouldn't split the bill, just terrible. The music, terrible. Good thing my girls and I know how to have a good time anywhere because this is one place we will not return.

One of my favorite spots in DC. They have really good sushi ( I love their signature Lasagna Roll and Gazuza Roll), special cocktails (you just have to try their Xtacy Martiny!), nice music, especially on weekends when they have a DJ, I would definitely recommend this place.

The bouncer told my boyfriend and his friends, all of whom are black, they didn't have the money to be there and that they couldn't afford a table for $50. I will never come back to this place and don't recommend it to anyone who wants to be treated with dignity and respect.

It was OK, I reserved tables for 11 to 12 peoples under my name but when my friends went there before me and asked table by my name, they said there was no reserved tables under my name , when I reached there then I got table but they changed our tables twice. I was really disappointed about this

Do not waste your time coming to this place. There are better hookah bars in DC that provide better service. We had a group of 20 some people that came in at various times.
The waitress didn't write any of our orders down, so we spent time finding out who had what. and then she didn't desperate any of our checks. We waited over 1 hr for fresking sushi and the place was empty. So as people where leaving not only did own waitress tell us to tell her what we had but told us to add it up and tell her how much we owe!!!! We were delayed 2 hours waiting to get the bill together!!!!! Then the bill was incorrect....so we asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came, he spent 25 mins justifying what his waitress did telling us they where not a resturant!!! Instead of just fixing the nil and providing the check. This is not a place I will EVER frequent again and I hope you won't either!!! Trust me the music is just as terrible as the over priced small sushi, iced down drinks and terrible service!!!!

The atmosphere was cool. Set up like most hookah lounges. I was excited to see the happy hour on pretty much everything! It gets a 3 because of the service and I'm probably being nice. Was had to ask for several things more than once, like chopsticks for our sushi. You know, essential items. The hookah was burning wrong multiple times. We had to track the waitress down for our check. She didn't properly close the night. With service overhaul, this place would be nice.
