The streaks there were to die for! Cooked to utter perfection you can’t go wrong with having a nice dinner or lunch here if you’re in the area.
Mashed potatoes were amazing! And the fries are a hit too. So good I ate it off of someone else’s plate!
The atmosphere was quiet and romantic with soft lighting. Our server did a great job balancing all his tables. Started with the tots, which were very good. We had the salmon and NY strip, both were okay. I thought a little overpriced for what they were. Then we topped it off with an americano, lime pie, and turtle cheesecake. The espresso wasn’t great, but did the trick, I would recommend the dessert.

We were visiting from out of town and my boyfriend got us a reservation here. The staff were super friendly and really went above and beyond. The food was pretty good. They start you with cornbread and it was tasty. We ordered the onion ring appetizer and they were fantastic, unfortunately they were taken away before we could finish them. We ordered the veranda and the A&M’s cocktails. Both were very tasty and I would definitely recommend the veranda! My boyfriend ordered a steak with cheddar mashed potatoes and enjoyed both. The mashed potatoes didn’t have a cheddar taste to them though. I ordered the crab cakes and fries and I would not recommend them. The crab cakes were super mushy and Luke warm at best. The fries were pretty good. For dessert we got the B-52 and we both enjoyed it. Over all I would say for the price the food should be better. The staff are, in my opinion, the best part of this place.
I was in town for a conference and stopped in while walking and seeing the cherry blossoms. What a find! I had their Prime Rib sandwich with a French Onion soup cup side. Amazing flavor for both and service was amazing.
The atmosphere was elegant but very comfortable. The prices were DC norm, and the quality of the food here puts it head and shoulders over "DC Norm". All of my fellow lunch-goers were commenting on the quality of their various meals as well, and we all enjoyed the same excellent service.
Check out the space downstairs for your next small gathering! Highly recommended!!
Had a lovely evening at ChopHouse. Food was great. But the best part was our waiter, David. He made the experience more enjoyable just by being himself. We even overheard the table behind us raving over their waitress, so they obviously make it a point to hire the best.

Crab Cakes were amazing, service was stellar with a very upscale feel at a reasonable restaurant. Definitely try the cornbread!The ambiance is beautiful in this old building with the thick columns and large hanging lights from the ceiling.
My husband and I came here for our Valentine’s Day dinner and we were pleasantly surprised! The food here is so delicious! I can’t believe I never stopped in this restaurant before! The spinach dip was amazing! Like we were (shamefully) scraping the plate 😂😂🤦🏾♀️ The steaks, equally delicious and cooked perfectly! It was extremely busy, but our waiter remained attentive and served us pretty quickly considering how crazy it was. I’m definitely coming back to this restaurant for dinner again. Very, very good!
The ChopHouse is great! I have been here a handful of times now & have not been disappointed, to say the least! The last two times here I have ordered the 9 oz. Filet & it literally melts in your mouth! The service begins the instant you walk in the door, like you are an old friend! The bar is great & the bartenders pour excellent mixed drinks. For apps we had the risotto bites, calamari & the artichoke dip. By the way, the jalapeno corbread they bring out before anything else is a cant miss! They were all incredible! I will MOST definitely be back when I am in DC!!!
Service was great send food was delicious. I got there around 5pm for an early dinner. The staff was marvelous, and extremely friendly. The French Onion Soup had a bit of tang I wasn't used to but other than that everything was pretty standard fare
