The concierge at our hotel recommended Sandwiches by Phillip for a place to grab lunch, and we are glad he did! Their food is delicious and reasonably-priced, and the fact it’s all made fresh to order means there is something for everyone! We only wish Sandwiches by Phillip was also open on the weekends so we could get one more meal in before we left DC!

Tasty, quick, and affordable, what more could you want from a sandwich in DC! I got the chicken & pesto on sourdough and it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for breakfast or lunch!

Yes Yes Yes, this was surprise find. We had some time to kill and wanted to grab lunch some where close to the Library of Congress while we waited for our tour. This place check every box. Great Food, Service and Clean. I had a grinder sandwich, my son had Chicken Pesto, and daughter had turkey we all agreed the food was GREAT!

You’re not going to get a better bang for your buck than Sandwiches by Phillip. Quality ingredients, great prices, quick and friendly service, and a wide variety of choices. This is my go-to lunch spot!

The turkey breast sandwich was great. Tender, well cooked, and the bread was phenomenal. Cookies and brownies 10/10.
I do agree with the other posts that the service does come across as “rushed” (not rude) but probably because they get busy quick.

Nice sandwich and coffee shop near the capitol. I came in the morning and they were pretty busy but were managing to move through the line quickly.
They have a lot of seating, large windows that let in sunlight, and outlets scattered throughout the store which can be useful if you need to take a work call or do some computer work while eating.
I got an egg and cheese on ciabatta bread and it was great. Four stars because the cappuccino I got wasn’t that good. For pricing as of this review, breakfast will cost roughly 10 bucks for a latte and breakfast sandwich, and lunch looks like it’ll cost between 10-20 dollars.
