Extensive menu for a quick lunch bite when working in the area. Service is fast and orders always accurate. Prices are very reasonable given hiw expensive grabbing a bite in the city can be. There is limited seating inside and patio seating available, but it's usually crowded and busy during the weekday lunch rush (11:30 - 1:30)

The staff here is so friendly and helpful, they always make me glad I came. D&B has more than 10 different types of soup every day and they are all good. They gladly let you try any of them to help you choose. And they have so many great sandwich choices already freshly made and ready to go. They will also cheerfully customize any sandwich to your preference. Service They make it really easy to get your lunch quickly. The cookies are good, too. I bet the salads are really good, too, but I haven't tried any yet. To sum up, D&B offers good food, fast and friendly service, in an attractive space, good for both eating in and take out. The only downside is that lunch can easily add up to $20 or more.

We happened upon this restaurant after viewing the White House and I am so glad we did! The food is soup/sandwich/salad and is so good! I had the best broccoli cheddar soup of my life here! So many soups to choose from! The pastry items look phenomenal as well, but we were full. We would absolutely come back again!

Been to this location a few times. They are very efficient even when it is quite busy at lunch time. Lots of good options for soups, salads, sandwiches and some sides along with deserts. Probably the best of the sandwich places in DC.

As a southern native I loved the cornbread( my friends did too). The customer service was great and there were a variety of healthy, delicious choices. yum yum. It was also nice that we were able to customize our meals. The Cobb wrap was also very delicious and I highly recommend it

Great sandwich, salad, and soup option down by the White House. The line can be a bit long at lunch time, but does move rather quickly. There is also outside seating which is a great option.

I totally loved the this place!!! The food was so fresh, the selection amazing, the people so friendly...we just went in for coffee but decided to get egg sandwiches which were excellent. They were making everything fresh for the lunch crowd and so I took a chicken salad sandwich to go - it was great!! We liked the place so much that we asked about franchise opportunities in Maryland but apparently the business doesn't franchise. I wish there was one near my home - we were getting our passports renewed so we won't have occasion to return, but if I still worked in DC I'd go here all the time. Loved it.

I gave this place a second chance because I bought a fruit cup here for 7 bucks a few years ago, which is a lot for a fruit cup. I bought a Cuban sandwich for around 10 bucks and it was two meals worth. Bread was very nice, crusty with a soft center. They toasted it for me, which was nice. I'll go back.
