I have only had one rude batista. He wasn't much of a talker, and rolled his eyes a bit; but don't let that discourage you, all of the other baristas have been phenomenal. All of our drinks have been really good and made in under 5 minutes.

This location is connected to the Grand Hyatt and appears to be the gathering point for power-suited business people having their morning pow-wows over a cup of power-joe. I was drawn to the Nitro Cold Brew despite the cold weather and was pleasantly surprised by the draft-beer-like texture. Like a true cold brew, the Nitro embodies a nutty and earthly flavor while coating my mouth with a lingering sweetness. The register is sectioned off from the seating area, which has a handful of couches and a beautiful conference-friendly table. This store is considered small with a door to the street and another entrance connecting to the hotel lobby.

Excellent Starbucks. Didn’t have any Starbucks Reserve Tumblers but they did have Reserve coffee. Nice place to sit and comfortable.

I was staying at the Grand Hyatt Washington for a few days and stopped here every morning. The batista are very polite and friendly, and for my order right every time (Iced Vanilla Latte, Half-Caff). Even when they were busy they were efficient and whittled well as a team.

I'm not exaggerating when I say I had the BEST Starbucks experience in this location today. I am just passing through town this weekend, but when I lived in the area some years ago my first Starbucks experience still stands out as to how horrible it was (at a different location). That set the bar for how I expected all customer service interactions in this area. Today I was floored by how kindly I was welcomed, treated, and the quality of my drink. I had to compliment the lady in the lobby because this experience totally turned my perspective around of service in this area.
