This spacious store is at the center of DC downtown. I ordered a 6oz warmed lobster roll with butter, and the roll was fully loaded with fresh lobster meat. Good clam chowder soup, thick and creamy. But $37 for a 6 oz lobster roll is not something you can afford it often.
I ordered a crab roll but they were low on crab meat and so substituted in some lobster (no complaints here!) It was delicious. My only regret is not ordering an additional food item, as the roll (4oz) is, well, 4 ounces. Of course lobster is pricey so you have to either make the decision to pay up for a fully satisfying meal or not. I went on a Monday around noon and didn’t have to wait in line at all and there was plenty of seating available. Solid choice for lunch.
Ok, Lobster Roll Night, Uber Eats! 1st, we ordered BYGYF, so 2 lobster rolls, fries and 12 oz. Lobster Bisque, $64 with 17% tip plus delivery. Lobster roll was good, not big like others but the flavor was good. The roll, seemed like a hotdog bun. A toasted roll would have upped my stars. French fries, wow, little skimpy on the portion IMHO. It's a potato, so more than a small handful of fries could have been a little more. The lobster Bisque -- really had a good flavor. Just the right amount of spices, salt, loved the flavor, popped right off. 12 oz for the price, middle of the road on that. Order again? -- Sure, but want to go visit to see more of what they have.
My husband and I had lunch here and got the trio. The lobster roll was amazing. We also really enjoyed the shrimp roll. The crab roll wasn't so great. The truffle oil was amazing! Staff was very kind, atmosphere was clean and organized. Pricewise, it's slightly on the high side. But I didn't feel cheated or anything, the food was good. We will return.
Good for families with outside seating. The customer service was really friendly, and most important, the lobster roll was soooo tasty. Crispy bread, well-seasoned meat, and a sauce that complemented but didn’t overpower the tender lobster. My kids liked the grilled cheese and fries.
Parking: There were street parking but only if you’re lucky. I recommend getting dropped off or walk there. I’m not from the area and used Apple Maps to walk there. It was a bit of a struggle to find because the map directs you to the entrance on a different side of the block.
Ambience: fast pace
Service: 4/5 cashier was nice and friendly
Food ordered: 5/5 I ordered the Luke Trio to get a little taste of everything.
Overall: 5/5 The food portion was decent for its price considering it is seafood. All three in the order I loved the most Lobster, crab, shrimp were exceptional great! I would definitely return here if in the area.
Exceptional staff. If you want a lobster roll in DC this is the place to go
I was realllly excited when Luke’s Lobster opened up a new “shack” in Farragut because I love all things lobster. I'd heard good things so I was pumped to try their food. FYI, This is their 4th location in DC, and it’s right next to the Farragut West Metro.
Must-tries include:
1. Luke’s Favorite ($20): A lobster roll (1/4 lb of chilled wild caught lobster in a split top bun with melted lemon butter, mayo, and their secret seasoning, chips, and coleslaw.
2. Their Lobster Mac ‘n Cheese ($15): Pasta shells in a creamy, mascarpone-cheddar blend with tender chunks of lobser, toped with garlic herb breadcrumbs.
3. Their Bread Bowl with Lobster Bisque ($14): Soup served inside a toasted sourdough bread bowl.
4. Their L.G.C ($13): Lobster & gruyere grilled cheese.
It's hard to pick favorites, but if I absolutely had to, I'd go with their LGC and their lobster bisque!
I loved their soup SO much! It was so rich and creamy, and I appreciated that it wasn't too salty. You'd think that'd be a given, but most places go HAM on that sodium. The sourdough bowl was delicious - and I'm not one to ever pass on carbs - but if you’re looking to pass on bread, the bisque is $7 for a small and $11 for a large.
Their lobster & gruyere grilled cheese was crazy good, and it was quite possibly the best grilled cheese sammy I've had in the area. I pretty much inhaled this baby in 2 minutes and could’ve easily downed another so definitely make sure to indulge. Think chunks of succulent lobster in melty cheesy goodness, sandwiched between buttery slices of bread. So much yum in my tum!
Delicious lobster roll! Very easy to use ordering app for pickup. Pulled up and grabbed food and devoured it. Do note that the coleslaw comes with the lobster roll order. No need to order a separate one. And it is yummy too!
Service was excellent. Food came out pretty quick. Had lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese, and clam chowder. All of it was amazing and so fresh!!! Food was a bit pricey so me and my friend split a meal at first but needing up ordering more because it was just that good.
