My friend bought this red velvet cake for my bday and this was the best red velvet cake I’ve ever had! It tastes better when it’s cold.

Honestly, I walked in here to sit down and eat a sandwich I bought at Vace Deli (a couple doors down), but felt compelled to buy a drink. What I ended up with was probably one of the best latte's I've ever had since leaving Naples, Italy. These kids know what they're doing in there! It was SO good in fact, and the assortment of pastries looked SO delicious, I ended up getting dessert there too and saving the other stuff for later. Some unwobbly tables would help, but the service, cafe's and pastries are to die for!

Baked good are both beautiful to look at and very tasty! Many of the treats go fast, so make sure you get there early for the best selection. Workers are super friendly and willing to answer questions. Not enough seats inside? Walk out the back and sit on their beautiful patio!

I ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese and a caramel latte. The latte was great, but I get home and see there’s no sausage at all in my sandwich. I just don’t know how you miss an ingredient when you make your customers tick off boxes of what you want on your order. Great food, but would have enjoyed this much more if it was as ordered.

Just for the sunny back patio this place is an instant classic. Coffee is good, pastries and bread are great. I found the rest of the food not so consistent but it has improved lately. Not so many tables inside and very few in distance to plugs. In general the environment is a bit cramped and noisy for work. Much better to head for the back and relax around the fountain :)

This bakery/café is a hidden gem, tucked away into an unassuming strip of stores along Connecticut Avenue in Cleveland Park. A wide assortment of baked goods are on offer, each more delicious than the last. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The outdoor seating area in the back serves as a secret garden that is truly a delight.

This local cafeteria has several coffee options and an extensive dessert menu, the atmosphere is pleasant to chat, read or work. The staff is very friendly and willing to meet your expectations. It is accessible for wheelchairs and carriages, has no parking but you can accommodate your vehicle in the streets nearby. Highly recommended for coffee lovers.

I love to enjoy coffee and great pastries outside when the weather allows. Great place for a date or for lunch with a friend or if you need to take a bite after long day or...your choice. Service is always good. Food is delicious.

Firehook, conveniently located 2 blocks from the Cleveland Park metro, is one of my “red-line” favorite coffee shops. The service is fast, prices fair, and vibe: very easy to get work done. The bakery is narrow, and the tables are all for 2 people each, perfect for working on a laptop. Overall, I really liked this place and have been back 4-5 times to enjoy some coffee and catch up on emails!

A great coffee shop bakery and over all very friendly neighborhood place. They have a great selection of breads and a morning batch of baguettes and an afternoon fresh batch as well. Croissants and others breakfast baked goods make way for salads and open face sandwiches such as salmon and avocado. I noticed that customers are regulars and There is a very welcoming feel to the place. I went in winter however I want to go back and checkout the courtyard in spring and summer
