Just a classic, almost timeless, place to eat...meat. Steak baby. The best. Grilled and charred to perfection. Old fashioned lovely formal service for the most part. Like stepping into a time capsule. I hope this place is here forever.

I had the ahi tuna which was fantastic. It was a bit loud so hard to hear for a good conversation. The wait staff (Erin and others) were fantastic. Quite a iconic venue for its political illustrations and history.

5's across the board. I ordered the sautéed mushrooms, and they were some of the best I have had. An earthy taste with a dab of sweetness at the end. Not overly spiced, but enough to tell that they received more than just salt and pepper. The staff were excellent with giving suggestions or answering questions. Mike Melore made the experience very memorable. He had a quick wit and oozed history about the Palm and some of the "movers and shakers" who frequent the establishment. The Palm has been a staple of the community, and Dupont Circle since 1925 and I would think that it will be around for another 100 years. Highly Recommended.

What a wonderful evening at The Palm. It is my first trip to DC, checking off “bucket list” items, and my wife stated that The Palm would be on my list, as I’ve never been to their locations. Absolutely no disappointment. From the minute you walk in you have top notch service. Our waiter, Mike A was the best. What a personality and true service attitude. Wife had the rib eye and spinach, and I had the filet with garlic mashed potatoes. (I’m gluten free and they have a separate GF menu which I appreciated). Between Mike, our meal and atmosphere, it was exceptional. The overall costs for drinks (huge wine & cocktail menu) and the meal were 100% in line for the experience. We shall be back to a Palm in our travels, including DC. Thank-You!

The Palm is one of my most favorite restaurants in Washington, DC. The service is impeccable. The jumbo shrimp cocktail is one of the most enjoyable appetizers. While I go for the steaks, the also do a mean chicken parm. Drinks are strong (which I appreciate). The donuts are a delicious dessert. The food is great, service is amazing, and as an added bonus you typically see one or more famous (or infamous) guest each visit. Highly recommend!

It's a classic for a reason and my pick for an old-school steakhouse experience in downtown DC. Pricey for dinner but it's got a very reasonable happy hour with always attentive and friendly staff and good deals on classic cocktails and appetizers.

This expensive and unique restaurant is known for its quality food and famous guests. I went for happy hour (ends at 6:30). Truly a wonderful experience with strong and tasty margaritas and the best giant meatball ever.

A Washington institution where there's a good chance of running into a power broker or politico. Come for the excellent steak and fabulous cartoons of past diners that cover the walls. Fun, but the service is old school, ie slow.

The Palm is in a class by itself with full marks for food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. A dinner here is pricey but worth it. Definitely try a steak!
