I've only been here a couple of times. The food is good. The price is reasonable. The staff is friendly. Great place for breakfast. A little small and Usually busy.

The quintessential diner.... I only have breakfast here..... Though the blueberry dump cake was amazing. Breakfast is always prepared to order, and it's just done right. There is no glitz or glam or wifi just real delicious food with real people serving.
At times the place is busy and there isn't tons of seating.... It's a diner and a damn good one. Get there early, enjoy the ambiance, have a couple cups of coffee pay, at the register and come back tomorrow... Love'm.
Great food, great people!. The food is made with love, every single dish. There is a passion for excellent home style cooking that just makes everything authentic and honest. With all the dining choices we have, this is my birthday pick and my go to spot. To be honest, its not just the food, its the staff. They will instantly make you feel like family. They are truly wonderful!

Great food, Service and Prices. My fiance and I were looking for a new breakfast place and we found Classic diner. Needless to say we were instant fans of the place. The food tastes awesome, portions are on point, service is great and the prices are perfect. If there was one thing to complain about would be that the place is a little small and not a lot of tables but its almost what makes the diner so great. I almost hate giving this review because I want to keep this place as much of a secret as I can so we don't have to fight even bigger crowds.
I absolutely love this place. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. However, this place was extremely small and being a smaller person myself, I didn't even have anywhere to put my knees while sitting at the bar. We were smashed in to the wall. We went on a Sunday morning, so busy was a given, but try and come on a not so busy day cause you will wait forever otherwise. Really good food though!
What a treat to take my family there tonight! We had no complaints and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Birthday dinner with family. So far so good I am still sitting in the restaurant and can not be more pleased with the atmosphere the wait staff was friendly and the food has come out prompt I have gotten the classic hungry man special and can not be more pleased with how it tastes and looks. I definitely recommend this place the only thing that would make it better is doo wop music to make the classic diner experience complete.
The 4 of us were looking for a breakfast joint in Va Beach. Classic Diner came up. Amazing. Chipped beef on toast, potato pancake, hash browns and omelettes. All were delicious. Highly recommended.

Normaly good but this time not so much. Been to the place a few times and love it, always has great staff and food; however I came in a few weeks ago with my mom for dinner on a Thursday night and the service was horrible. The cook greeted us and took our drink order and brought us our drinks while the waitress stood around talking and playing on her cellphone, we were one of three tables so I expected her to be the first person to our table. She then came over and took our order, she did not introduce herself and did not seem personable at all. Our food was then brought out by the cook who then asked if we needed refills as the waitress never came back to ask if we would like more to drink. She also never came by to ask how our food was. The cook removed our dirty dishes from the table instead of the waitress. The waitress never brought a check or asked if we were ready for our bill as we sat at the table with no drinks and no food. I felt like the cook was my waitress more than my actual waitress. I was very disappointed in the service we received.
My daughter and I love this place! We’ve never had a bad experience with the food or staff! It’s refreshing to get away from the chain restaurants. It’s also nice being able to watch them make your food if you sit at the counter. The only problem we’ve ever had was the first time. My daughter (10) ordered an omelet and I (43) ordered French Toast. We were at the counter so the cook gave us our plates and he got them justifiably backwards! We still laugh about it every time we go.
Classic Dinner is a little hole in the wall type local place to eat.The Western omelet I had with home fries and a biscuit were really good! The service was pretty fast and our waitress was friendly. It was a fifties diner, older place, not very big.
After we ate our waitress asked us nicely to leave because people were waiting on a table. If you're going to talk a while and catch up, maybe go somewhere else. They did have good food, fair prices and friendly service though!
Great food! I eat out a lot. I often order eggs over medium. This is the only place to EVER get them exactly right!! My children ordered the burgers which were delicious. Cute atmosphere. Wait staff friendly and fast. Diner is small inside. Booths are small. Still HIGHLY recommend.
Hole in the wall diner with classic fair. Country steak and gravy was a great choice today. Food was delicious and prepared very quickly. Staff was amazingly attentive and kept the coffee filled. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
This is a nice homely place with a diner style. It is a local spot where regulars go to eat. The service is always great. Very welcoming and it feels like you are eating a meal with family. The food is good home cooking. There is nothing more to add. If you want a home cooked meal, this is the place.
Those who read me know the fascination I have for mom and pop diners. This is one of my favorites. The treatment here from the first day I went is wonderful. It's like if I sat down to eat in the dining room of my house. And of course, the breakfasts are very good!!! I recommend it. Another hidden gem of Va beach!
Great family style atmosphere, good selection of comfort foods and staff was attentive. Dining area is small, so I don't recommend large parties. We came on a Sunday and it was a steady stream of customers. Overall, our two families (11 total) enjoyed our food and experience. Highly recommend it when you want a quick bite at a reasonable price.
We randomly picked this place to eat because my husband needed something to eat after his infusions. As soon as we open the door to go in it smells amazing then we were greeted with a friendly hello and offered menus. As me and my husband browse the menus, the The cooks seemed to be in sync and the place had a very clean appearance. Everything was amazing and we will definitely return. The price is very fair. And we had our food in less than 10 minutes .

Opens at 7am and it is what you would expect out of a breakfast and lunch place. You have booths, tables, and a bar to sit at in front of the grill. The staff is welcoming and attentive, small place so it would be strange if they were not.
I got the hungry man breakfast for 13 bucks. 3 eggs toast, bacon, sausage, ham, and hash browns. The over easy and they got it right, the coffee was great. The lunch is probably going to be good also. If you have not tried this place it's time. Breakfast or lunch. I will update once I have had the lunch.
I went to visit my sister and she took me to this Diner. I walked in and it reminded me of the 50's-60 look. I loved it. It gets crowded but worth going for their food. We had cheese steak sandwich and fries... SOOOOO GOOD. When I visit again, I'd like to try their breakfast. The people were so kind, friendly. Our service was AWESOME along with the FOOD. If you haven't been here, go bc it's WORTH IT!! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK AND EAT THERE.
