I had given up on Croakers after a terrible experience 10 yrs ago. I'm happy to say that with a remodel and new owners this is now back. Really nice remodel. I ate from a special event menu focusing on creole/Mardi grass that was prix fixe and paired with wine or beer. Excellent courses and great pairings. Under a new executive chef the quality is much improved and the staff is really focused on quality. Parking is a little tough here but in good weather nearby parking offers a nice walk in a neighborhood. I would definitely recommend stopping by for an evening out. I'll be back.

Great little neighborhood eat joint. The service and food were great! The menu options were very good. Good beer choices. Lots of appetizers. Cozy with good vibes! Coco was our waitress, she was new but did a great job and her coworkers made sure we were cool. Overall great experience!
New menu does not disappoint. Same chef, same favorites, plus new and fresh dishes and drinks. Loved the classic Blue Lagoon. The mac and cheese was to die for--huge spiral noodles and extra cheesy. The fried shrimp were huge butterfly shrimp that were cooked to perfection. The steamed clams were not at all gritty and were perfectly salted. Finally, their homemade corn muffins are amazing. I was so impressed, I went twice in one week.
First time eating here since renovations were completed. Decor is brighter and new tables make the space appear larger. We arrived before 6pm, so Happy Hour specials were available (1/2 price apps, $13 dinners and drink discounts). Had calamari appetizers, seafood platter and fish and chips. Platters were very large portions and excellent. Food was cooked perfectly, very tasteful, and seasoned well. Not a big steak fries fan but these were the best I have had in a while. Service was very attentive! Croakers will stay on my favorite restaurants to dine!
We love the remodel and new additions to the menu! Diana has been our server the last two visits and is an absolute delight! Their early bird specials and half off appetizers before 6 are such a great deal, but we've also enjoyed their regular menu too. All and all a great place with wonderful staff and atmosphere!
We were pleasantly surprised since the restaurant doesn't seem like much from the outside although parking lot was full. The crab dip is great! There is a daily special and a catch of the day special which we each selected. My grilled shrimps ($12.99) were huge and delicious. My husband really enjoyed his blackened cod which was about the same price. Each entree came with a salad and a choice of a side dish. Overall, it was a great experience with attentive staff and healthy options. We plan on returning to this casual location which is convenient if you spent time at the beach and has reasonably priced menu items.
Amazing food. Everything is crafted with care and the chef even came out to see how we enjoyed the meal. Not expensive for a seafood place. Small, inviting atmosphere. We go here every time we visit this area.
This is one of our favorite places to go either as a date night or with a group. Tonight was out first visit since the reopening after remodeling. The place is fresh and inviting, food is still great and staff professional as always. Tonight Stephenie was our server and she was great!
Food and service were top-notch! Oysters on the half-shell were priced right and shucked cleanly. Their signature dish, the St. Charles, is a large filet of fish cooked perfectly and covered with a very lite sauce filled with fresh mushrooms, herbs, and Gulf shrimp! Definitely got it going on here!
