I love this place so much! The staff and food and quick! I miss their all you can eat sushi they had a few years ago, but it still delicious regardless. The waitress was kind, funny, and sociable. Prices are decent. My boyfriend and I had a great time eating here. I never had to ask for a water refill or waited for someone to come back to our table when I needed something. They’re great at checking up on you and clearing space for more food.
We went to the new building outside the Foothills Mall and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered 7 rolls of sushi and every single one had a unique flavor (I've found some places the rolls can taste similar when they are cheaply made). The different sauces were a gentle touch and not overpowering. I loved the bar was half inside and outside. Wait staff was attentive. Our hostess was highly distracted but within seconds we were redirected and the issue was rectified. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Very clean!
Decided on some sushi tonight, hadn't tried Sushi Garden yet, the restaurant was very clean and had a very nice atmosphere. I ordered some Saba, the hamachi jalapeno, banzai roll, red dragon and Baja jalapeno, portions were great. The Saba was excellent and the hamachi jalapeno might be my new favorite, will definitely be eating my sushi there from now on.
This is a small place with excellent service & food. I had not tried some of their sushi anywhere before.
The volcano roll & spicy tacos were appetizers so the portions were small. 5 tiny volcano rolls & 3 spicy tacos.
It is a bit pricey
Simply one of the best in Tucson and in my top 3 for Arizona. The chef prepares sushi perfectly and the fact that it is family-owned and operated since its inception decades ago says a lot. The outside seating area is a bonus compared to most restaurants that only offer indoor dining.
I've been eating sushi for over 50 years and have had some awesome meals in NYC, San Francisco, even Guadalajara, and Sushi Garden is a match for any top spot.
UPDATE: Sushi Garden has just moved to trendy new location. The new atmosphere is modern and shiek with an enjoyable patio and an indoor/outdoor sushi bar.
I've been eating here for years and the food and staff have been consistently amazing. My favorite rolls are the Albuquerque and Spanish because of their unique and vibrant flavors but no matter your choice you really can't go wrong.
The new location is great, very stylish and good north side location. The food and service are excellent! Two suggestions for management: 1. Reduce the lighting by 25-50% in the evenings, it’ll set the mood and let us appreciate the masks and globe lanterns. 2. Add more sound absorption to the walls to create less echo and a slightly cozier feeling.
The food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice. It wasn't crowded at this location at all so we got our food really fast 😊 The customer service was good. We had the Las Vegas Roll and the Tootsie Roll 😋
Update: We went back for the Las Vegas Roll, Tempura Roll and Volcano Roll. Absolutely delicious!😋 Great atmosphere and awesome customer service. Thanks!😊
Great, convenient location in the Foothills Mall. Clean, nice decor, friendly staff. The menu is simple enough with ample sushi and non-sushi choices. We'll be back!
Food was good but took a bit to come out despite a relatively empty lunch hour. Pricing is fair and the restaurant was clean and at a comfortable temperature.
