This was by far the best mediterranea food I have ever eaten! Just make sure if you are vegan or a vegetarian that they don't make your dish with the rice that they cook meat in. My friend is a vegetarian and what she ordered was in the proper portion of the menu and the rice had meat in it and was cooked with the meat broth. Aside from that it was perfect, delicious and amazing! I would eat there again if I am back in Tucson!...

This restaurant is tucked at the end on the courtyard that is in the center of Main Gate Square. It does seem that it gets overlooked since it is alone in this area especially at night. I was feeling like a light dinner so decided to get takeout. Went in to order and the older woman at the counter was a little gruff. Took about 10-15 minutes to get the food shrug there was only one couple eating outdoors and no one in the restaurant. Did notice the hookah lounge on the other side of the restaurant that was also empty. The food though was very tasty so despite any initial impressions glad that I stopped in.

Very friendly atmosphere, owner has been in the restaurant and tourism business for a while so has lots of stories and is very personable. Students get 15% off, and he ended our meal with free Turkish apple tea to try! You HAVE to get the ottoman sherbet, tastes like christmas. Food was very satisfying and healthy.

I loved showing off Sinbad's to friends and family when they would visit -- the food and decor are wonderful, and the previous and current owner are very sweet and hospitable people. However, due to a recent experience with a waiter who has helped me several times before with no issue, I cannot recommend young women to come unless this waiter is reprimanded. I brought my partner to the restaurant after we got tattooed down the street; we were served by the waiter who is usually very sweet and helpful. I told him about our tattoos and asked him if he had any. He responded verbatim saying "Yes, I have some on my private parts, want to see?" And naturally we had to laugh it off, but it was shocking and completely inappropriate. I cannot feel comfortable returning until this waiter is at least spoken to about this. Other than that the service is stellar.

I've read the other reviews, especially the "1 star" reviews, and this was truly some fantastic, delicious Mediterranean food! If you've never traveled to this part of the world, this food will only make you wish you could go there. Very humble, quaint establishment. Incredibly friendly, attentive staff. Very tasty, authentic food. Very relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere. The Lamb Shank over rice with an after-dinner-side of baklava and a Turkish coffee was my choice for the night - I was not disappointed. I haven't had this "authentic" since I was in Saudi Arabia. I will eat here again, someday, and I highly recommend you give it a try. التمتع(altamatue) "Enjoy"

The location is great, in a charming courtyard. The service was friendly and prompt. The star of the show was definitely the food. Both entrees were delicious, generous portions, and perfectly seasoned. We will definitely be back.

This was the first time I've been to this place, but I've seen it forever. This charming little restaurant is perfect for a delicious and different dinner or lunch with polite service and a welcoming feel. We ordered the chicken shawarma entree, beef arayes, and the chicken biryani. Each plate came out hot and fresh and smelled amazing. The shawarma was seasoned well and sat on top of a bed of rice with a side of hummus. This was the first time I tried areyas and I was not disappointed. They were full flavored and fresh. It came with hummus and a salad. I really enjoyed the chicken biryani. It had great spice to it, the chicken was so good and seemed to have been fried, it was perfect. Over all this place was wonderful and I look forward to visiting it again. It may be my new favorite Mediterranean food place I tucson, I would recommend it to anyone.

Wow what service I mean if you want to be transformed overseas this is the place to go. I've been around the world and seeing a few places in a while The food was so fresh and it was made to order and the service was better than anywhere I've ever gotten. I mean talk about Turkish hospitality! This place is a gem and well worth the 3 hr drive! 10/10 chiefs kiss!
