This place is probably the best Japanese place in Tucson . I've enjoyed everything on the menu, my personal favorites are the tonkotsu ramen and sukiyaki chicken. This place is a must , the owners are great people as well
Been going to Ikkyu since it opened. Lori and Hiro are great with a growing staff.
I had the Ramen Tonkatsu bowl and it was the best. This the place for fresh Ramen noodles.
I also recommend the Spicy Tuna Don and the Spicy Tuna Don Volcano Style. ENJOY!
Spicy Tuna Don, volcano style is so yummy and comes with Miso soup. You get a buzzer when you dine-in, but the food came out right away. They have misters if you decide to sit outside.
They are still the best! Missed my beloved Tonkotsu Ramen but decided to try the black Tantanmen ramen and I was not disappointed! Delicious attention to detail and layers of flavor! My son had the spicy volcano style Tuna Don and we shared a Ninja roll so thankful they are still open!
Best Ramen I have ever had. Will absolutely be coming back with friends.
I came here, cause Noddleholics was closed it was my daughter's birthday, and I had no idea what good places for ramen there were. It was fast and tasted good, and it hit the right spot. For the swift change in plans. PS noddleholics was closed due to a shift change. Give this place a shot.
Great service, great food, Spicy Tuna Don volcano style is a must try! Very ADA compliant and accommodating was able to get my scooter inside and sit down with ease when my leg was broken. Does not allow pets inside, however. Luckily there is a pretty comfy, shaded patio with misters that they do allow pets to be.
This is just the same quality of food I received in tokyo. Delicious!
Visited Ikkyu on a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed! The Japanese curry chicken was delightful and the staff were friendly. This quaint restaurant has seating inside and outside under a shaded and misted patio. The restaurant looks to be a favorite takeout location as I saw many people coming in to pick up lunchtime orders. If you are looking for a Japanese restaurant I would give Ikkyu a try.
This is a no frills, order at the counter kind of place. You don’t come for the customer service, you come for the delicious Japanese food. The type of place I imagine Anthony Bourdain visiting and raving about because it was all about the food. We got the tonkotsu ramen, spicy black sesame, shrimp tempura roll, and the ninja roll. It was really good and would definitely come back and recommend to a friend. Everything was delicious.
I moved to CO over a year ago, and still catch myself dreaming over their tuna don volcano style. Can't wait to go back to Tucson for a visit and hit them up daily! The shoyu ramen and inari volcano style were great too. Still to date my favorite Japanese eatery in the US. (:
This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and I shared the tuna don volcano and each had a teriyaki bowl. All incredible. Highly recommended.
