We came with an open mind as it was our first visit. The staff was super friendly, service was prompt and friendly. The food was fantastic! We had a shawarma plate and a grilled mix plate and it was all fantastic!
We will definitely be coming back!
This place was a delightful surprise. If it weren't for the reviews I doubt we would have ever found it. We went for some gyros (note: they aren't Greek style) and they were delicious! Hubby got something else that he polished off before I could get a taste. People all around were really enjoying their food. I'm sad we don't live closer, but glad we work somewhat nearby. The prices were beyond reasonable. We will definitely be back! Also, I love their lantern lights. They remind me of a visit to Morocco and I've always wanted some.
Nice Mediterranean restaurant! The food overall was good and well served. We were sat next to a table that had 4 ladies that were knitting and being obnoxiously loud. That's my only complaint but I understand that isn't the restaurant's fault. We had the vegetarian plate and the chicken shawarma plate.
This place has it all; good food, attentive/friendly service with a wonderful atmosphere. Portions are good and the plates I ordered were delicious. Their menu also has some fun beers from Lebanon, Greece and other Mediterranean countries
The food at Zayna is just so homemade. I love the taste of the culture and the staff. My favorite thing about a restaurant it's how clean it is and especially the restrooms and wow they are just great at it all. Thank you, zayna.
I ordered a Kifta plate, it was delicious! and we did not wait too long to get it served. The meat is tender and juicy inside. This place is a hidden gem. I wish it was closer to the north-west tucson instead of south. Overall I am satisfied, i have to ask for a take out container because their portion is huge!
Glad we discovered it! Got to catch up with friends over amazing food. So good! I can't remember what everyone ordered, but the Zayna fries were so good and ample for sharing (there were 4 of us). I had the cauliflower plate, and it was filling. I'm not a vegan but really wanted to try it, and it was so good. The menu all looked good but not overwhelming. Most importantly, it was very accessible. I didn't see the whole place, but the room we were in was a good size & the tables were spaced apart enough for wheelchairs. Make sure to approach the front door behind the cars, not on sidewalk. Sidewalk doesn't connect to the ramp (probably made it accessible after the building was made). Had a great time!
The food was soooo good and well prepared. The service and atmosphere were amazing as well. 10 out of 10. Will definitely be going back.
What a wonderful gem. Great fresh food for a good price, peaceful atmosphere and amazing service.
After a stressful morning, I didn't think I was hungry for lunch. I searched for a lighter and healthier option, and this tickled my fancy. Also, my mom and her caregiver didn't know what exactly Mediterranean food was, so I became excited about breaking their foodie cherries 🤭
It was our first time here, and the lunch specials are a fantastic deal for only $11! Although, be forewarned, it gets busy, so you may have to sit and wait for 10 minutes or so.
Our server, Renee, was a sweetheart. And service was prompt.
I chose the Beef Gyro with Salad and Hot Green Tea.
My mom got the Chicken Shawarma with Fries and Iced Green Tea.
Her caregiver got the Shish Tawook Pita Sandwich with Fries and Iced Green Tea.
We were all moaning into our food, lol.
It was a hit! And here I thought I wasn't even going to eat it until later, but nope, one bite and the flavors kept me wanting to eat more.
I saved room for dessert and ordered the Pistachio Baklava (they have a vegan version too). And we all very much enjoyed that as well - not too sweet and perfectly crispy and moist.
