Golden Corral

I'm from Minnesota and I am visiting a friend down here and wanted to try different food places, I went here for lunch and for dinner, if you're not looking for the dinner specific items then the lunch price and menu is the better choice. Plenty of protein choices, sides and deserts so everyone is sure to find something they enjoy. It's reasonably priced for a family outing or a buffet date or even to just enjoy alone, though I wouldn't go more then 2-3 times a month. The staff is so friendly and helpful if it's your first time and more than willing to give recommendations. The servers are very friendly and attentive to your table, I sat in the same section both times I went and my server was a dream. She was friendly, polite, and the second time I came in she recognized my face and was very welcoming. The pot roast is my favorite protein choice, I recommend the banana pudding for dessert, and you can't go wrong with the mashed potatoes/gravy and carrots for sides. Enjoy. I have always wanted to try to Golden corral in Topeka but walking in I was greeted by the smell of feet. I must’ve been a naughty boy this year because the steak I got looked like it was a piece of coal it was so over cooked. The only thing golden that golden coral gave me was golden urine after the acute kidney injury the burned steak gave me. The ice was good though

Restaurant was welcoming to a group of 120 middle school kids. Everyone was patient and happy. Beverly was our waitress and I don’t think a smile left her face despite the chaos. Absolutely an employee I would hire myself! She was bubbly and kind. Thank you! The kids really enjoyed attending and it was a treat for them.

None of the staff could understand simple instructions, we had to repeat ourselves multiple times. We had a group of 10 people & the "server" tried to stick us at 2 4 seat tables shoved together. The food was pretty good, for a buffet; unfortunately most of the staff was more concerned about their cell phones than refilling empty dishes.
