Sanchez Mexican Restaurant

I decided to try this restaurant based on all the good reviews. I ordered the ground beef tacos and a steak burrito. The tacos were soft shell (not a fan, but it's authentic), and tasted rather bland. The meat had very little seasoning. The steak burrito had NO flavor to it. The steak (which wasn't much) actually tasted a bit burned. I didn't even finish the burrito. Very disappointed by both items.

I wanted to try this place because it had 4 stars and my love for tacos is infinite so why not, I was in the area. We came in and we were the only people there which is fine and you would assume that they would be more attentive to their only customers but not really. The decor was a little kitschy but fine I guess. It did look like they use the main dining area as a hangout when nobody is there. After some awkward minutes the waitress came and stood next to me without saying a word so I just ordered. She came back with chips/salsa and my Coke. The "chip" salsa was just not good, I usually eat the whole thing but it just tasted weird. The tacos came along with a green taco "salsa". The tacos were ok, not good not bad just okay. Same story with the salsa too. I just wished it had more flavor. I ate,paid and left... Knowing full well I would never come back here.

I ordered a steak and a chicken burrito. The chicken tasted bland and the steak tasted worse. Sauce was really spicy. Not sure what I was expecting since it had good reviews, but it's really nothing special and the burritos are small. I could get a better Burrito at a chain restaurant for a better taste and price or I should have just gone to Bergenline and order myself some nice tacos from a truck on the side. Maybe it's just these items that are not that great, but I most likely would not order here again.

I love this place. The first time I ordered, I got a taco salad which wad delicious, two chicken tacos, which were good but needed more taste, and chesse quesadilla which was amazing. The second time I ordered, I got the dame thing expect the taco salad. The tacs this time we better than last time, and the quesadillas weren't quesadillas, they kind of tasted like tacos and loooked like tacos. Other than that i recommend thid place!

This isn't fine dining. It's a family run place where the mom and dad run the kitchen and the kids run the front. It's great for ordering pickup. In fact, it's my favorite place to pick up Mexican food to go. Their tortas are great. Tacos are alright. They don't have their full menu all the time. Even average real Mexican food is better than Chipotle or Taco Bell imho. If you want a nice sitdown place, there one like few blocks away but they've lost it and sell entrees pushing $20 or more which is insane.
