Travelled to Tampa from Orlando as part of our holiday for Busch and the Jason Aldean concert. I held off having a Denny's until this trip and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing but even better was the manager and staff. Despite how busy it was a lovely server on deliveries took time out to talk to an older local. He has obviously been going there a while and had his own table! Was so lovely to see.
Then there was the manager and kitchen staff. To say they were under staffed that day was an understatement. The manager was literally doing everything, they all cheered when another member of staff came in to rescue them and the manager was communicative and honest to those who came in about the wait. It was a pleasure to see a team rally and respect each other as they did. Yes we waited a while for our food. But it was worth it and I enjoyed every minute. Well done to the team and the management for holding it together!! You were awesome. X

Where do you go after an Imagine Dragons and Chris Stapleton concert while in Tampa? Denny’s, of course! Love the late night breakfast offerings people watching in the wee hours of the morning. Service was actually pretty good and the food was exactly what we needed in the middle of the night.

Denny's always has decent food, nothing out of the ordinary we had blueberry pancakes and lumberjack. It is a nice place to eat at, we only have it a few times when on holiday mainly we don't really do breakfast and with the tip total was $40 for 2 it soon adds up.

I had the t bone steak and eggs. Steak was cooked how I liked it. Eggs were perfect. Pancakes light n fluffy. Server was polite and attentive. 5 stars acrosd the board .

Went there with my family during the evening. We were immediately greated by our server, Aimee and brought to our table. We ordered our drinks and then our food. The food didn't take long at all to come out and it was well cooked and amazing! I can say what an improvement from a few months ago. The staff is amazing! Especially our server Aimee, who was probably the best server our family has ever had, and we have eaten at a lot of restaurants! She was very attentive to our needs, she was so so nice and caring, and checked on us to make sure everything was ok. Every restaurant needs servers like Aimee. So from our family, "Thank you Aimee"! I highly recommend Denny's on Hillsborough Avenue for everyone because the service and food is great! It is now our family's #1 restaurant to eat at and is a great dining experience!

When I work late night sometimes I order to-go from here on the way home. Everyone is always super friendly and my food is already ready exactly on time. I'm worried it's a little slow in there lately when I've been in - I hope it picks up I love my neighborhood Denny's! :)

Our server zoraya is an absolute angel! She made sure we had everything we needed at every turn and even offered us help on modifying menu items to our taste. Only reason i give atmosphere a 3 star is because it was a bit warm in the restaurant but the food and service was top notch

Greeted kindly by Sherry, not sure of our server's name, no name tag, our receipt states C. Azul. The floor where my family and I were seated was extremely sticky from syrup, there was a crayon in the middle of the area where we were seated, which I nearly slipped on. The restaurant was very hot, there were random chairs in the middle of the dining room but there was not a table. The food was good, I ordered the T-bone steak had fries and mac/cheese. The server took a while to refill drinks or check on our table. Proceeded to checkout, could not use the discounts AARP or AAA. Our server accidentally cashed out the ticket so my family and I could not use the discounts, nor split the bill. Linda was very accommodating, she gave us a 5.00 cash discount, made offers of two free breakfasts and 20% off our bill upon a return visit. Very generous Linda, thank you! Thank you to the other server Sherry, the only one wearing a name tag btw, she too was very kind for stepping in and trying to help our server fix the problem. Over all, we'll be back, the food was good, thanks to the cook for his part. Our server also did not inform us of our to-go order being ready, that was the reason we continued to sit and chat, we were waiting on the order to be completed, Final thought, all though our server had some bad points, her demeanor was nice, thank you for her service, but..... all though very beautiful our server's nails were way too long for the food industry, not appropriate when serving food.

Place was almost empty, so my service was quick & pleasant. Didn't care for the Nashville Hot Chicken Melt, but I can't knock it. I'll go back to what they excel at: modern American breakfast.

This visit is exactly what I would expect out of a Denny's visit. It was around 1130 pm the service was freliendly enough, the food fast hot and decent enough. We would happily eat here again if we were in the area and looking for this kind of place.

Took our family of 15 out for Christmas morning breakfast. The food was fantastic but the service, not so good. The restaurant wasn't busy at all when we got there but we had to wait about 20 minutes for our drinks, which several drinks were incorrect. Once we placed our food order, another wait of almost an hour to get. We had 7 young children but the adults food was brought out before the children's food, meanwhile we had crying and hungry kids. Our server never offered drink refills or checked to see if we needed anything else. Have always received good service at this location until yesterday.

Horrible coffee mug had lipstick and duty, waiter came back with cold coffee. I received partial of my meal went I ask the waiter for the rest she told me sorry I be back and she didn't. I had to up and get it my self. I will not recommend it.

So tonight I take my children out for a late dinner. I order my children food ordering extra bacon and sausage for both my girls. When the food comes I notice that the extra items are missing from both plates. When i asked the waitress why wasn't the items I ordered on their plates her response was that she would have to charge me extra for the items, which then upset me because this lady is stereotyping me assuming that because I'm a young black woman I can't afford to pay for the things I ordered. Then to completely ruin an already bad experience I ordered a club sandwich with NO bacon and I stressed that more than 3 times, still had bacon on it. By this time I was so upset I just left without complaining to the manager again. I will never dine at this establishment again and I don't encourage anyone else to do so either.

I love breakfast.. And they serve it all day. Their food is always on point. And if your order is messed up they fix it ASAP no questions asked. 95% of the staff is amazing. That 5% really need to learn how to talk to paying customers. I work in the food industry myself and I'd be fired on the spot.

Horrible service! Waited to get seated about 20 minuets waited again to get order inn and waited for food to getting cooked my goodness if you guys don’t have enough staff you shouldn’t offer Uber eats which was the excuse they gave on why they were so busy. I hosted our board meeting here. The hostess was the bestest. She was kind enough to put us in an area with low traffic and noise.
Food was excellent, but took a bit longer than usual. The waitress forgot to refill my drink, even after I asked, but refilled everyone else.
Overall, I was pleased, ad will be back.

$2.59 for 1/4 cup of grits, use to get a big bowl for $2.50. Can't give the pancake puppies away for free. No substitute for pancakes on Value meal coupon. Salt shakers are clogged, take the top off. Price of T-bone went up and they still run out of them. I use to be an every day customer, but Perkins isn't that much farther.
