This place was such a vibe!!!
It was super cute and mellow. We actually never been to this place prior & im so glad we’ve checked it out! We were told the beer wall menu changes every week which is pretty neat.
It was super clean and chill. It was so cool becusse you can decide what size beers you want! So we basically did a flight!
Great place as well as atmosphere. Plenty of seating and parking. Nice chill vibe and music tracks. I had the Spicy Tavern burger with truffle fries. Albeit on their own wasn’t much. But with that spicy dip was amazing.
For drinks I had the mead red stone raspberry. So delicious. And paired very well with the food as well as the Daura lager. Gluten free from Spain. Simply delicious.

It’s very dim inside. With nice accented unique overhead lighting. Great place.
I liked the bar, went on a Friday and it wasn't crowded. I don't have a dog but I like the pet area outside.
The service was good and I enjoyed my Zombie Cider, cheese platter, and fries! My mahi-mahi just tasted like oil and was my least favourite part of my meal.
Delicious food and one heck of a beer, wine, cider, and mead menu. There were some homeless people making a problem while we were there but the bartender and some patrons promptly took care of the situation. Great for late night eats.
Amazing. Have been here 4 times or so, the spicy tavern burger is my favorite burger in Tampa. Photo is without cheese and bacon, but omg with the cheese and bacon is to die for!! Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Mermaid tavern is my soul in bar form. Such a cool little place with inventive tasty vegan options and great friendly bartenders. The outdoor area is really nice too!
Great beer selection and fantastic food. Several vegan options. Open late and has an off leash dog area so your dog can romp around and have some fun while you enjoy your visit.
This is an amazing place to find some AMAZING FOOD!!! There is one slight caveat though. Everything is basically self serve if you will. There aren't servers or hosts. You have to get up and go to the bar to place your orders. This is great on a slower evening but when they are cranking the backup at the bar can be a bit intense.
This leaves with little if no time at all to ask questions. You're better off if you are already a foodie and beer or cocktail veteran and know What the ingredients are. The food will blow your mind though. The stuff they crank out of that kitchen is always incredible.
If you like a poorly lit almost dive bar atmosphere This is the place for you. They have tons of board games and even give the patrons the ability to play music of their choice for free. Just don't ruin the vibe for everyone else.
Mermaid Tavern is great. The food is super awesome (that Drunk Grilled Cheese and truffle fries!!) and they’ve always got great beers on tap, including some more experimental and eclectic brews. Lately I’ve really enjoyed coming here at less busy times, like in the afternoon or on a weeknight, only because the vibe is a little more chill. I’ve also been here when they’ve got live music or DJing going on, and if you can catch that it’s also a good time. Check it out!
Good selection of beer. The Korean BBQ was very spice but we were warned. The grilled cheeses is very good
