Food was exceptional! The filet tartar was really something special (beautiful plating, and absolutely delicious) and the papas bravas were the tastiest that we've had in the area. Elotes were messy and tasted fantastic. Service was very attentive! Only complaint is (same as when Fly Bar was in this space) the restaurant is very loud when full and makes it difficulty to have a conversation - would think twice before bringing a big group, but had a AWESOME meal, and will definitely keep going back for more.

We went opening day after weeks of being tantalized by their Instagram. The pictures didn't disappoint. The food and service were absolutely amazing!! We went in to try as much as as possible and we really did!! For appetizers, the Chicarrones. Order them. Every time. They are amazing. Not greasy and perfectly seasoned with a touch of jalapeno. The Grande Asparagus with lemony and savory. The asparagus was a little over done for me but it was super yummy and lastly, we had the selection of 3 Spanish cheeses. Totally decadent. For entrees we tried the lamb shank, that fell of the bone, the carne asada and the Pescado De Provision! Whoa, the pescado is snapper and it's the whole fish and scrumptious. Dessert brought the meal to a whole new level. Churros, Tres Leches and Pasilla chili chocolate cake. Super decadent. The service was phenomenal. I see they are adding happy hour starting April 5th and feel like this is going to be my new happy hour spot!!

A true foodie spot! The food is fun and surprising. Mole Lamb chops, bacon wrapped dates, chili chocolate cake with pistachio gelato... Explosion of mix and match flavors. The workers seem to have fun and enjoy the surroundings and menu. Well done...

Went here thinking we were going to the Fly Bar… they closed a few months ago! We decided to stay and check out this new tapas bar. Glad we did, the service was fast and friendly. We had the Eggs Diablo, Jamón & Queso Croquettes, and the Queso Manchego (Pasamontes). The Compressed Apples in Mezal were amazing! We finished off with the Bacon-Wrapped Dates and the Tres Leches; the dates were okay but the Tres Leches was out of this world. Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent service. Atmosphere was ideal for brunch and definitely would consider going back for dinner or late night drinks upstairs. Food was delicious. Large portions for a good value.

We had an amazing party yesterday night, and thanks to the manager, Lanfranco and all the staff everything was perfect! The food was fresh and delicious, in a perfect combination of taste and colors, in compliance to the spanish tradition. The servers were very attentive and ready to satisfy any request. Great place to celebrate a birthday party! Thank you guys: we will come back soon

Fantastic food and ambiance in downtown Tampa! Rooftop was spacious and great for four. Caipirinha drink was perfect. Order drinks from their menu, as the White Russian was pretty bad. Carne asada, elotes, and bacon-wrapped dates were fantastic and I recommend. Desserts were amazing. Tres leches was incredible. Enjoy!

Went out last night and this place is great. They have one of the best gin I've ever had, Gunpowder gin. Substitute it for the tequilla in the picante limon drink and it was A+. The management and all workers were extremely friendly and made sure we were happy with all of our orders the whole night. I had the Red Snapper and my wife had the carne asada and both were too notch. It was too brisk for the rooftop but we will definitely be back to check it out

My first time eating at Mole y Abuela. What an amazing experience. Fun, lively environment and the food was out of this world! Stuffed peppers packed with flavor!!! Two thumbs up! You must try it!

The best tapas in Tampa. The happy hour is the bomb. Best patatas bravas around. The piquillo 🌶"s are no joke, explosion of flavor in yo 👄. House Tempranillo is superb. Highly reccomend sitting near kitchen so you can see menu items being carried out. Can't wait to go back and try all menu items. Peter gave us outstanding service all items ordered were explained in detail. Ire man.

The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of one improvement I hope they’ll make before summer is in full effect: fans on the rooftop beyond the couple they have pointed at the bar. I love this spot for a rooftop and was excited to eat up there once Mole opened in the location. Unfortunately, we had to eat indoors because the seats at the rooftop bar were full and there were no fans for the tables. Anyone who has lived in Tampa long enough to experience a summer knows why I feel this is essential. Otherwise the experience was great. I had a specialty cocktail and a wine by the suggestion of my waitress and they were both great. The waitress was also very familiar with the food menu, which was helpful. Service was so fast we found ourselves with extra wiggle room before our next stop, which was really nice. The tapas were good and unique. I wish I had been more hungry. I hope to return to try more on the rooftop! 😊 Glad this great location got filled and that management seems to know what they’re doing.

We totally enjoyed our experience at Mole y Abuela from the cocktails which were delicious and had a bit of a different twist to the tapas. The setting was lovely. Seating was very comfortable. Our server Kyle was excellent. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and cocktails and provided great suggestions. The entrees and desserts were delicious as well. We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant other than we will see you again.

Wow! What an amazing evening! The atmosphere was so inviting and made it easy to unwind and have a great time. The service staff was so attentive and KNOWLEDGEABLE about the menu, one of my pet peeves, they were able to listen to what I was in the mood for and made great recommendations. Once the food and drinks began to arrive this place really began to shine, unique dishes prepared perfectly and the whiskey and wine cocktail is a MUST TRY! Great job to those involved with creating this place, I will definitely be back. Only downside, I had so much fun I forgot my glasses :(

I went here for brunch with a large group (party of 9) and will definitely going back again! The food is really good, everyone was super happy with their individual dishes and as a table we got some tapas and I. Particular the papas bravas were unreal! I would seriously eat them everyday if I could. The only reason I’m taking a star off is, even though we were 1 of only 2 tables our server was pretty absent for most of the service. But the food and atmosphere will have me going back!
