I have been to this restaurant twice now. And it is now my favorite restaurant. The ambiance inside feels like you stepped into a different land. The waiter took our order quickly and brought out water and appetizers quite swiftly. I ordered lamb with tomato peppers and spices. My husband ordered Chana masala. The dishes were exquisite.

We have not been here in years. The last time we were at Taj, they still had a buffet, which I enjoyed.
Today, we took our granddaughter and had the lunch specials, butter chicken, and panerer sag. The lunch special comes with rice, Nan, and a samosa.
All the food was very good our granddaughter also gave it her approval. Her dad is an Indian chef at another restaurant, so she knows her Indian food.
Taj Indian Cuisine is an Indian restaurant located near the University Mall. There are lots of interesting decor here; ranging from paintings, to many other artifacts. The service was very friendly and helpful. They accommodated our needs.
The food here is so good! The appetizers were good; including the Samosas. However, the naan bread was really good, and the Tikka Masala was excellent. Perfect balance of flavor and heat. The butter chicken was also really good, as well as the paneer. Overall, Taj Indian Cuisine is definitely worth it!
So happy to find a good Indian in Florida!! The garlic nan was I think one of the best I’ve ever had. Also had Saag Paneer, Tarka Dal and Chicken Madras at medium hot which were all delicious. I like it a little hotter, so they brought us some fresh chilis to add as well! Great meal. Looking forward to coming back when we visit our daughter at USF!!
Wow amazing Indian cuisine!!! The flavor is amazing !!!! Mouth watering naan bread. The flavor on the food is what caught my eye not over powering just right !!! Stop here you won’t get disappointed.

My experience at [TAJ INDIAN CUISINE] was nothing short of exceptional. From the rich flavors of the dishes to the welcoming ambiance and top-notch service, every aspect exceeded my expectations. I left the restaurant with a satisfied palate and a desire to return soon. It is undoubtedly a gem in the world of North Indian cuisine.
The WAITERS service is so good and respectful From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the waiters, who made us feel right at home. The waitstaff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They patiently explained various dishes, recommended popular items, and even suggested spice levels to suit our preferences. What impressed me most was the staff's genuine passion for the cuisine. They were not just employees but enthusiasts who took pride in sharing the authentic flavors of North India. Their enthusiasm was contagious, making the dining experience not just a meal but a culinary adventure.
I discovered this dining gem while visiting Tampa for the weekend. There is a definite warmth and coziness to the restaurant. Everything ordered was absolutely wonderful. The Goat Vindoloo was so tender and this is the best butter chicken I have had since I left Chicago. Well done Taj Indian is a MUST Eperience.
It was my first time trying Indian food and it did not disappoint! The butter chicken with the garlic nan was my favorite but my entree was the lamb byriani which was super flavorful!! Add to that the service was top notch - definitely adding this restaurant to one of my faves!
The food was fantastic! Reminds me of some of the best authentic places that lined up in NYC. The Chicken biryani was delicious with spices and seasonings. The chicken Tikka masala was Ah-mazing. The aloo paratha bread was good. Overall, it's all about the unique Indian flavors that stand out and this is definitely the place to try them. 😋 they could use a little help though to refill drinks etc. 👍🏼
We loved our luncheon special meals. Chana .
And then came back a few weeks later for a dinner that was just fabulous. Their chicken tikka masala is the best I've ever tasted.
