Don't let this little place fool you, they are dead serious about food and flavor. The humble decor and atmosphere may lul your senses, but they ate going for a taste bud knockout. Everything I've had here has far exceeded my expectations. They are experts at making things taste like far more than the sum of their parts. Flavor combination wizard replaces the term chef in this establishment. The prices are incredibly reasonable, but honestly I'd come here even if they werent.
I got the hot plate special of a haddock sandwich, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. It was excellent! The haddock sandwich was large and cooked perfectly on a nice soft roll. The Mac and cheese was amazing and plentiful. The coleslaw was very fresh. I haven't gotten a bad meal ever here. I recommend Today's Special.
Excellent place to grab a sandwich. I went in for the first time, and couldn’t decide what to get, because the whole menu looked great. Got the Wall St. Excellent excellent excellent.
One of the best places to get a sandwich in Syracuse. Prices are extremely fair and the portions are big. The state tower sandwich is usually my go to but all of the sandwiches are good. Also recommend any of their soups, salads, and sides. All packed with flavor.

I was on my way to another restaurant and passed Today's Special. I randomly chose to change my destination and try it out. It was phenomenal! I was buying breakfast sandwiches for my office, and the cook was very helpful. He didn't bat an eyelash when I made a large order (first thing in the morning). He had excellent customer service, helped me decide on different options, and delivered DELICIOUS sandwiches in a very timely manner. He also cashed me out and made the coffee! It was a MUCH shorter wait time and better food and service than other places I have been recently. This place doesn't make you choose between speed and service... they do BOTH! The prices are great, the décor is an interesting aesthetic, and the food was very fresh and perfect for breakfast. I can't remember the name, but the omelet served on an open face bun was super fun and my favorite. I am very picky, and they definitely gained a new customer! 10/10!

Everything is made fresh, worth a few extra minutes. Only complaint is the wait line sometimes gets long, a sure sign off success.
I work upstairs in suite 301 and I love that this place is right below me. I come down often between clients to grab a meal and I’ve never been disappointed. Everyone always greets me and they have plenty of healthy options. Their full and half specials are so reasonably priced and you get quality meals. Their Mac and cheese is amazing!
Today's Special is by far the best sandwich shop in downtown Syracuse. The staff is friendly, the dining area is nice and themed, and the food is absolutely stellar! The best panini I've ever had is the "Little Italy"! Everything is fresh and prepared with excellent care.
The times square sandwich was all of my favorite things and more! Not too heavy on the way, fresh ingredients and great tasting bread! Prices are right where they should be for the quality. Can't wait to try their breakfast sandwiches now!
