Pavone's Pizza - Syracuse, Ny

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while. My husband and I live around the block and Pavone’s is our go to for pizza. It never disappoints, and service is great! We have tried a few of their pizzas - all amazing - but we particularly love their sausage pizza with meat sauce for dipping! Side note: sometimes they sell out on Friday evenings, so we started ordering on Thursday for a Friday pickup.

Authentic and Unforgettable Pizza Experience at Pavone's in Syracuse, NY! During my visit to the SUNYCUAD conference in Syracuse, NY, I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Pavone's pizza, and I must say it was an absolute gem! This place surpassed any pizza I regularly enjoy in Manhattan, and reminded me of the authentic and classic recipes and quality ingredients reminiscent of Little Italy in NYC. The moment I walked into Pavone's, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The scent of freshly baked pizza wafted through the air, instantly igniting my taste buds. The staff was friendly, efficient, and clearly passionate about their craft. They made me feel right at home, making it the perfect spot for a quick bite during the conference. Now, let's talk about the pizza itself. Oh my goodness, it was a slice of heaven! The flavors, the textures, and the overall taste were exceptional. Each bite transported me back to the authentic pizzerias in NYC’s Little Italy, where quality ingredients and time-honored recipes make all the difference. The crust had the perfect balance of chewiness and crispness, and the toppings were fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. What truly made my experience at Pavone's memorable was the exceptional hospitality of the owner. Despite being a devoted Yankees fan, he showed incredible kindness and understanding when he noticed I was wearing a Boston Aquarium shirt. He recognized that my love for penguins and dolphins transcended sports rivalries, and he graciously welcomed me with open arms. The level of humor, professionalism and customer service goes above and beyond, and it left a lasting impression on me. I cannot recommend Pavone's enough to anyone visiting or residing in Syracuse, NY. It's a hidden gem that captures the essence of classic Italian pizza. The combination of authentic flavors, friendly service, and an owner who goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome is what sets Pavone's apart.

This place was highly recommended by many people and so we came to try it. The 5 stars is for the pizza. We had a small sausage and pepperoni and our kids had a small cheese Very good,very reasonably priced. the owner was very nice, he knows what he’s doing and is from the same State as me which was cool to learn. I was a little uncomfortable with being stared at and whispers from the workers it’s a little rude. We are first time visitors of NewYork period and we were traveling with our kids (5 kids) and it was just a little uncomfortable. Yes we have a large family we aren’t the first. My order came up differently priced than it should’ve because someone tipped theirselves. Pizza was great and of course I was going to tip but it would’ve been nice if I could’ve chose to tip and what to tip. Food wise everything was awesome. Would order again but probably just delivery.
