Pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza is. It’s great tasting. Cheese had a buttery taste to me. Thinner crust. Sauce was good. The prices were very reasonable. A 12” cheese was $11. I would definitely return here!
The pizza is absolutely delicious!!! It's difficult to find really great pizza and I have to say, I finally found the place😁. Staff is extremely polite and fast service. You can call in orders so they can be ready which is so convinent; they keep it warm and fresh :) the patio outside is perfect to have lunch. (Prices are more than fair). If you haven't tried Roman's then I believe you should give it a try.
BEST PIZZA EVER! Seriously, you have to try their pizza, it's so good! I wish they could box this up and sell it in grocery stores so I can get it at home when I feel like eating pizza. The people working here are very friendly and make sure that your order is how you like/want it! I usually come here for take-out, but it's a family-friendly place with free lot and street parking. It's a great local restaurant and place to enjoy a meal!
I’ve been wanting to try Roman Wheel for so long I’m so glad I got to try it today! I got a Turkey sub and it was so tasty it hit the spot! The breadsticks were good too. Great seating area to eat, chill, and plan your next stop in Suttons Bay. Will be back to try the pizza!!
Roman Wheel got recommended by many and it was 10/10. One of the best pizzas and the gal working up front is the kindest! First but not the last time I'm there.
We visited during labor day weekend and everywhere was really busy so we decided on The Roman Wheel. At first I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting this to be a table service place but you simply place your order at the counter. We were told it would be about 20min and I believe it was close to that. The pizza was very good, but very greasy. The heat and grease made it difficult for the little ones to eat without losing all of their toppings. Overall a very good taste, but the green peppers on the pizza were not that good. They tasted like they either came from a can or were pre-cooked before adding to the pizza. This made them very watery and soft. Other than this it was very good and the breadsticks were excellent!
Excellent subs. We tried the Italian sub and pizza sub. Service was friendly and we got our food pretty fast especially considering they were busy and short staffed. Price was very reasonable too.
This may be the best pizza we’ve ever had. The garlic Parmesan crust is a game changer and the breadsticks are massive.. buttery… so much real parm! Here on vacay and may be back before the weeks over.
Initially we were here pre-covid and it was delicious. 3 years later and it is still just as good. We ate inside, no frills paper plates and we enjoyed it a lot. The restaurant was clean, the people fantastic, and the pie is still in my top 2.
Roman Wheel is the best pizza on the east side of Leelanau county, especially when you need something to feed the whole family. Leelanau county has several wood fired pizza joints, but in the middle of winter those options aren’t really available, and those pizza pies only come in one size. The pizza at Roman Wheel is always delicious, and there’s plenty of it. Also, eating the desert breadsticks is like seeing a glimpse of God.
