We’ve been to Theo’s in St. Michaels mainly during the pandemic.
In this visit in late July, we were very happy to have returned.
The service from Chance was outstanding. He checked on us often without being obtrusive, explained the night’s specials and was genuinely friendly.
The bread basket which includes garlic knots was heavenly.
My wife had the Caprese salad which was made with local heirloom tomatoes and house made mozzarella. She loved it!
Chance recommended the hamburger which I thought was excellent. Made medium-rare with a nice char. The fries were perfectly crisp.
Can’t wait to return to the St. Michaels and Theo’s.
Food is definitely overrated. The filet was undercooked, and the bun less burger was still moving, lol. Both were ordered med. Guess the chef wanted to go home early. Who knows. Drinks were just ok. Tom, the waiter was awesome and was always nearby if we needed something. Maybe it was an off night.
This was my second time coming to Theo’s and I was not disappointed, again. This time I was a part of a larger party so we had the private dining room for our special gathering. The food was phenomenal and the service was absolutely special. My sister got engaged and the waiter made everything even more special. If you’re looking for an all around amazing dinner, Theo’s is your place.
A fabulous evening at Theo’s. We had local oysters on the half shell, the apple and bleu cheese salad, the Wednesday prime rib special, and the brownie sundae for two. Great wine that paired with the food. Excellent service that was both restrained and attentive. The location is cozy for easy conversation. Perfect for a romantic dinner (even if you’re in your 70s like us 😉).
Theo’s is a lovely little place, with good food, a charming (but loud) atmosphere and attentive service. However, to expect a customer to pay $48 for a small entree without offering so much as a cup of soup or salad beforehand or even providing a simple vegetable with the entree is assuming that entree was THAT GOOD. IT WASN’T, especially not for a Thursday night in November. Sorry. But, we were disappointed. Didn’t stay for dessert.
Visited for dinner during Midnight Madness...Everything was AMAZING. The restaurant-wide Happy Hour was a treat...Love the Shrimp Tempura! Oysters are delicious. We had the Tuna and Salmon entrées...Best we've tasted. To top it off, I dine out a lot, on all corners of the earth (travel a lot, too), and Charmaine is THE ABSOLUTE BEST server...Sweet, genuine, enthusiastic, welcoming, warm, accommodating -- She's an absolute asset to Theo's. She's a total BOSS at her job, and we loved our dining experience with her at the helm! I'll be back super soon!
Cannot say enough about our wonderful experience! We were seated quickly and not rushed. Our server Shannon was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The oysters were fresh and fat. Our steaks were perfect and the best we've ever had! The ambience was beautiful. We will be back!
Theo's was an amazing experience from start to finish. We were so impressed with the food, presentation, ambiance, and service. Our server, Chance, was awesome and provided great food and wine recommendations. Theo's far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back! FYI, Theo's was so good in all aspects that, when we went to DC a few days later, we were very underwhelmed by the nationally acclaimed Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons.
The food is fantastic and the service even better. Great ambiance, cozy bar setting, and very friendly and attentive employees. Shout out to Audrey and Lacey for a wonderful customer experience!!!
One of the best steaks of my life. 32oz bone in rib eye. You can't go wrong. Fantastic wine. Fantastic service. Looking forward to coming back!
