DMV people are picky critics, lol. I moved to Pennsylvania where all the people give 5 stars for truly subpar food. Anyways, in Harrisburg there are no kabob places with big chunks of meat. They're usually ground meat that's rolled into long pieces.
Ive been coming to this kabob place for 20 years since before mall was renovated. When we come to visit my mom in Alexandria, we ALWAYS stop by here to eat or bring home a platter to Pennsylvania. Meat is moist. Rice and bread good. Kabob Palace in Crystal City one of my other favorites , but it's far from my parents so we go to the mall. I also love the Afghan spinach. That in itself with rice is a meal.
At first the prices are me second guess the food. My wife wanted kabobs so I got the Lamb& Chicken platter. It came with a salad freshly made pitas deliciously flavored wet garbanzo beans. A smokey flavored spinach that was filled with flavor. The lamb amd chicken were absolutely delicious and the rice was so good as well it was worth the money. For mall food this place Beats out other restaurants like the Halal Guys food chain.
I love this spot! They have the absolute best chickpeas I have ever had. They give you plenty of food and the sauces that come with the meal are great too!
One of my favorite places to eat at this mall! There portions are extremely large and both the falafels and chicken kabobs taste really good. They need to substitute one of the rices with something else though as I'm sure it's always wasted! Their humus which I think is made in house is creamy and delicious and their baklava is worth trying!
Why was this place not busy?!
I got the chicken and beef kabob. The meat was so juicy! The chicken was AMAZING! Great flavor! The rice and salad were fresh! You do have to wait a few minutes but who wouldnt for good food!
Very good. They cook the chicken while waiting. Very good. Love the spinach. Recommended 3.5 stars. Good food. Yes, check it out.
Family favorite! Large portions and cooked just right. Most times 1 dish is good for 2 kids as they give a lot of rice along with the meats. Believe it or not, the food is better quality and tasting than going to a restaurant like Moby Dick' s. 1 free refill on a fountain drink, just show them your receipt. You get two types of dip, yogurt and green (spicy) chutney. The gyros are humongous and filled with meat, you definitely will not be eating for a while afterwards.
Ok, the people working there are not 100% the nicest, but better than most similar places.
Good halal food serve here. Best kabab. Try their gyro and kabab.
I think it is one of the best afghani restaurants in Springfield. Big food portions and delicious. Yummy bread. My favorite is platter number 5 and 6 also the lamb platter is delicious.
My favorite place to eat my favorite 😋 meal lol
