Grotto Ristorante

Only did take-out & it was appetizers (salad & calamari). The restaurant was a beautiful & large w private dining rooms off the main hall. The appetizers w were were prepared, the salads were good; but, I would have preferred a more green mix & the salad dressing was thin & a bit too sour due to lemon. The restaurant was highly recommended by many people familiar with it.

Excellent experience! Great food and yummy desserts. Lunch for 3. Alex (male) was our server. He was very attentive, professional, polite...also very personable. We had spinach mezzaluna, Grotto Italian salad, spaghetti bolognese, shrimp risotto, and minestrone soup😋. What made our server, Alex, more awesome...to me? I wanted sweet tea, but theirs is unsweet. I was bummed cuz I needed my sugar fix. Without me asking, Alex brought me a small cup of simple syrup (sugar and water that are cooked together till syrup consistency). I was so surprised that anyone would even think to do that. That was a big deal to me!! Who does that? We got 3 desserts. Cheesecake with strawberry sauce, tiramisu and a chocolate brownie layered cake with crushed heath bar on top of icing.

We recently moved from Seattle to Houston. This place is amazing. My husband and I, both agreed , one of the best Italian Restaurants we try so far in the area.The service we got from James was outstanding. Coby, also reached out and talked to us a bit. The service was fast. The food were very flavorful. We enjoyed the drinks too. The staff were very friendly. Great customer service. Try it out!!! As they say " Mangiate e Divertitevi"

The service, the food, and the ambience is perfect. Starting with our waiter, James. My wife has many questions when we go out to eat, so James made firm recommendations with detailed reasons, and satisfied her that she should just take his advice. She did, I did, and the whole evening was perfect. We started with some wine and a peach Bellini... insalata, then pasta... James suggested adding sausage to the pasta carbonara and wow - absolutely delicious! Lili got the linguini pescatore which was also excellent. Later, tiramisu, espresso and another suggestion from James: chamomile grappa. Perfect. Cody the manager stopped by to introduce himself and see if we were enjoying the evening. We praised James and the food and had a great conversation. We'll be back, for sure. Thanks James and Cody for the wonderful evening!

Delicious! Reminded me of Italy. Mmt husband and I got the rigatoni, which was fantastic! My friend got the ceasar salad and she said it was the best she's ever had! For dessert we all split a tiramisu which again was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself was very well decorated and had a Tuscan decor. Despite being busy, the service was still good 😁
