Ruby Tuesday

So this was a Friday at about seven PM. When we walked in, there were many tables empty yet we still waited 30 minutes to be seated. When we finally received our food after another thirty minute wait some of the plates were cold. Some were way over done. Although it was good I found a hair on my steak. I've been to other ruby Tuesdays that have been excellent. This probably was the worst dining experience I've ever had.

Came here after a meeting in Portland and met up with an old college friend. The restaurant had very few people in it but it took them about 5 minutes to acknowledge our existence. A waitress even glanced up at us, said nothing and walked away. We should have known then it was just an example of what was to come. The hostess finally showed up and had us follow her to the back to a table by the bar. We both ordered water and the waitress seemed annoyed by our choice. Our waters arrived and I ordered the Asiago peppercorn top sirloin as I had heard from a friend that it was pretty good. I got fries with it and the salad and bar. The salad bar was cold enough that one would not have to worry about food poisoning that's for sure (like a mini AC). The food finally came and I dug into my steak. It was pretty good but definitely not worth $16. At this point I should tell you that our waitress (a dark haired 35ish year old) was also working the bar. I NEVER saw even a remote smile on her face. She gave the vibe like we were inconveniencing her by being there. I simply paid my bill and left. I will NEVER go to this Ruby Tuesday's again. This was by far the worst service I have EVER received. I get a better reception going through a McDonald's drive-through. Never again. Diner's beware, don't fall for this place.

Pros: Salad bar Wait staff Cons; Food is just okay. Fries have no flavor. Rude gentleman who seats you. Not pleasant tone and when an elderly couple asked to sit near salad bar he said no and sat them in a section away from it. The next people that came in he asked where they would like to sit and sat them where they wanted.

I would not recommend this location to anybody. It's dirty, staff is terrible, food is bland and they lack a lot of menu options due to lack of ingredients (even thought the menu items are still listed). Just go somewhere else to be perfectly honest with you -- your peace of mind will thank you for it.
