I visited this cafe for a Sunday Brunch all by myself. The menu is quite small and there's not a lot to choose from. The orders have to be placed at the counter. It was easy to find a seat as the cafe wasn't too crowded. However, it was quite noisy as there were lot if little kids accompanying their parents. Coming to the food, I ordered Smoked Salmon, Orange Juice and Banana cake and liked every bit of it. The orange juice was quite average but the Banana cake and the smoked salmon with mushrooms and scrambled eggs were near to perfection. Once the order is placed, the service is very quick. I hope the cafe adds more items to their menu though.

Came here for brunch with my husband. Nice and tranquil cafe for a morning brunch. We ordered american breakfast and waffle. Really nicely cooked! Loving them!

The staff were very friendly, courteous and prompt! We had a delicious lemon lavender cake and soft and fluffy banana cake. The hot chocolate and latte were decent. Very nice relaxing environment for a afternoon chill-out.

Chilled out music. Very good coffee. Nice food (had delicious scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, mushrooms and salad). Smiley friendly staff. Seating could be more comfortable.

Selfish Gene Cafe is a hidden gem, the kind of coffee shop that you want to keep selfishly for yourself. The atmosphere is often tranquil and relaxing and it's a great place to unwind with homemade cakes and fresh coffee. There’s natural light aplenty, lots of seats and a wooden table for communal chin-wagging.

I have tried most of the menus in selfish gene cafe. Try the whole lot breakfast dish, its absolutely value for money. They have unique homemade Kefir soda. Lemon lavender cake is a must.

Still one of the best cafes for good quality iced mocha and iced cappuccino.
Their BSE (bagel, salmon and egg) is also delicious. The bagel tastes so good.
