Swensen's

When we first arrived, a staff named JUN HONG allowed us into the restaurant after doing the safe entry check-in without assigning us to any seats. So we checked if its okay to be seated anywhere & he nodded. We waited for more than 5 minutes for someone to attend to us but no one came. There was no hardcopy menu nor was there any ipad on our table. We approached him afterwards & was informed that we have to be shifted elsewhere where the ipads are. WHAT??? Shouldn’t he be directing us in in the very first place??? Minutes later, we noticed that he brought in another batch of customer who was a table away from us & even explained in detail on how the ordering should be & whatever their soup of the day is. Why is there a different treatment here in Causeway? I had no issues with other Swensens outlet, be it at IMM, Plaza Sing, Jurong Point etc but today is just horrible! My mood was ruined entirely. On top of that, I ordered a Sirloin Steak in MEDIUM. Take a look at the doneness & judge for yourself if it looks like it’s well done??? We didn’t bother anymore to highlight it to their managers. They were busy talking to themselves at the counter furthermore we were already starving at that point of time & don’t wished to wait any longer. The only staff I would like to give a compliment to is HONG (bald head guy). He offered us cups of iced water the moment he passed by our empty table. Other than that, it was a very bad experience for us.

Swensen's standard is getting poorer and poorer. I'm so disappointed. Its around 1pm on a weekday, not much crowd. The previous manager manage it better. We were standing at the queue and a uncle in front of us. The uncle is waving and trying to alert the staff, 2 white shirt staff saw us, one is packing some stuff, another one just stick to her cashier back faced us don't know fumbling with what documents. After the staff that is packing walk to n fro 3 times, then she decided to come over and serve the uncle. Service wise really bad. After that, I saw only one red shirt staff running around back and front, serving all customer on her own. Food wise the ingredients are getting lesser and lesser. Chicken baked rice only 4 small piece of chicken. The crayfish is miserable. Understand there is cost cutting but this is not the right way, I'm paying full price for it. On another matter, I had made a feedback in IG and was asked to email them, but no one replied my email since 14 Sep. I've ordered from Swensen Causeway Point on 14 Sep via Grabfood during lunch time, around 11.45pm. However, the food is not of usual standards, seems like someone ate the ingredients, the Salmon pasta only have 4 pcs of salmon and lesser pasta. If you see the photos, the salmon pasta with greens is my previous order. The bowl is more filled and definitely more ingredients.

Ordered Fish & chips and Teriyaki Chicken Pasta and Rock Sundae for dessert. Fish & chips and Rock Sundae was good as usual. The Teriyaki Chicken pasta on the otherhand was disappointing. The chicken was fine but the pasta tasted werid. The pasta sauce and seasoning was bland and bad, it does not taste bad at other outlets. The broccoli smelled weird too. The only reason why i finished the pasta was because I did not want to waste the food but the broccoli weird smell was too strong for me to even try. If planning to arrive between 6 -730pm be prepared to queue for 20 - 30 minutes as it is crowded during dinner.

Date and time of visit: 14 July (estimate 5pm) restaurant was not busy The food portion was great and the double cheese burger was delicious for it's price point with 2 huge juicy patties and a large portion of fries. But sadly, the service provided was horrendous, the service staff served me as if I owe him. The lady that brought our food made me speechless as well. I mentioned to her the baked rice was my partner's and yet she land the baked rice right on my side while telling me careful it's hot. And I have to serve my partner instead of the server. After we are done with the meal, we were thinking of getting some dessert. And yet the table was not clear despite the lady just standing there staring into space. And we left for some ice-cream at Chateraise instead.
