Got the well done beef phở as well as bun bo hue with just beef and meatball and both were great. Service was fast and friendly. The fried rolls and spring rolls also good. Even though this place is advertised as a phở place they have almost ten bun bo hue dishes as well. Spicy broth did not disappoint and available tray of sauces which had some unlabelled Olek smelling sauce was amazing. A bahn mi came out of the kitchen as we were leaving that also looked good.
great food and nice staff! i only got vegetarian options- the veggie pho and bahn mi shared with my friend. also got a avocado smoothie/shake and it was actually really good and not too sugary! prices not bad at like $6 for the bahn mi and $12 for a large pho. i’d recommend!
One of my favorite dishes is the mi quang, there's a lot going on in here. I highly recommend this dish! Portions are huge and they have great service and prices.
Good memories from years ago, my mom and I used to eat here all the time. The Pho never disappointed me, the spring rolls were good, and the bubble tea was great too. The family works together and you can feel that they put love in their food. Very customer friendly too, but maybe that’s because I was a regular. Try this place!
Pho hai yen and the family that has served there have actually become a huge part of my life. It was over 15 years ago when my family moved to south Seattle . I was just a kid and we had the experience with a family friend called Pho. It was amazing and we knew that after one time it wasn’t enough. So we searched for a little while to find a good pho place near us. After a bit of time and many bowls, having experienced things like too thick of cuts of tendon, to bland broth, to dirty bowls. It was quite an adventure but well worth it. We eventually got to the North Side of Rainier where we had our first time finding the best bowl of Pho we had ever tasted. Pho hai yen . It was me and my father at the time. We ordered the number 17 large. Still to this day I’ve never had a better bowl of pho . Not only is it the most delicious bowl ever but the bond we actually built with the family here over the years has been amazing. I know now the you get kids are taking the legacy on and it may not last but I must say Thank you!! Than you for all the experiences and good times I had with my friends and family in your restaurant. Seriously will miss these times for the rest of my life and I hope some day I’ll find a Pho just as good as your family’s recipe.
Thank you again pho hai yen and to the family that kept it going 🙌🏼
Oh my, this might just be my new favorite place. The pho was quite possibly the best I've ever had. And there was an option for a small bowl so I didn't have to waste any or feel over full after eating. Also, we tried an avocado bubble tea, sans bubbles, and it was basically like having an avocado milkshake and it was incredibly tasty. Definitely coming back here the next time we visit.
I continue to be really impressed with the freshness, deliciousness and speed of the service at Pho Hai Yen. It's a family run place and on my most recent visit, my food was ready in 15 mins when I called to place the order for takeout, which was perfect timing for me to run out to pick it up and bring it back home still hot. My husband enjoyed it so much he said it was the best Vietnamese he's ever had (normally he prefers Thai to Vietnamese so this was a big statement)! He ordered the #37 (Grilled Pork Bún), and I got the #46 (Bún tôm nớng chả giò) - Grilled Shrimp, Egg Rolls and Rice Vermicelli - which has become my go-to order from Pho Hai Yen. It's light and refreshing with the veggies and vermicelli, yet savory thanks to the egg roll, grilled shrimp and sauce that comes with it. Highly recommend supporting this local spot next time you're in the mood for yummy Vietnamese! Seems like their hours have adjusted to only being only open on Friday-Sunday as of recently.
Great food here. Their Banh Mi is proper, fresh, and made with love. This is my favorite place to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine in Seattle. The family is really nice who owns and operates the business. I hope they stay in business forever.
Nice local pho spot. I went for the chicken and added meatballs. I was not personally a fan how the meatballs tasted, but the chicken was shredded into smaller bites and nice and juicy.
The broth was tasty and service was nice and friendly.
