Come here all the time, love their donuts, teriyaki and their extra large washing machines and dryers when I need to wash blankets and what not. So happy they've been able to come back after all the bad that is happened but then again I live in a damn nice neighborhood where we all love and care about our own.  FIVE ***** STARS

We've driven by Kings many times, as it sits in the parking lot of the closest large grocery store (and more to the point, the closest liquor store) - but had never tried it. They serve teriyaki and donuts, which seems like an odd combo, but apparently a

We were reminiscing about our croissant taste-off last year , when a ridiculous plan was hatched and quickly spun out of control. Doughnuts. Let's see where the well-known favorites stack up against Seattle's mom and pop shops. We retrieved doughnuts from

Don't let the exterior fool you - these doughnuts are phenomenal! Light, just the right amount of glaze/topping. Yum!

Good Donuts-Don't eat chicken. I made the mistake of ordering Chicken StirFry. This sauce was absolutely decicious but the chicken...well lets put it this way....I didn't think it was chicken. I asked to get something different and the lady behind the counter seemed very angered by this. She didn't seem to understand that I didn't like the texture of chicken. She said that they use thigh meat in all their chicken dishes. Well first off, if that is true why would you be charging $6 or more per plate. Thigh meat is the worst cheapest meat of the chicken. Second, this meat was not like chicken. It had a yellow tint and was rubbery. YUK! Anyway the lady behind the counter copped a serious attitude because I didn't like the chicken and made me wait like 20 minutes for my different order. I do recommend the Spicy Beef Teriaky.

Donuts are large delicious and inexpensive. The trotsky is great and also cheap. I come back to king donuts the food but I come back because it's so good. The service is fun, friendly, and they always make you feel like family.

Munchie Heaven. Have you ever smoked something special and gotten those epic munchies? Then in your intoxicated state you turn your blood shot eyes over to your friend and say: "Dude, You know what would be perfect? A donut shop that also serves Teriyaki."

Well then you need to go to King Donuts, this is stoned people's heaven. I however went sober and the teriyaki was the best I've had, and I have tried a lot of places. The best part is the uniqueness of the marinade used on the chicken, it set it apart from other teriyaki shops.

The donuts are more creative then your standard donut chain, the toppings used on the glazes would remind you of an ice cream parlor, it's just that extra touch that makes locally owned resturants better.

Service is good even as I was sitting and eating I could hear the employee calling customers by name and remembering what the regulars order.

I will certainly be back again sometime...did I mention that there is a laundry mat connected to it, so if you have some dirty clothes to wash, you enter in the laundry side get your load going and then order some food while it washes or dries.

So next time your stoner friends or pregnant wife is talking about all the crazy mix match foods they want to eat, take them to King Donuts and you will certainly be satisfied...dude.

King Donut. Being new to Seattle, I've never really gotten into this whole terriyaki craze. I must say that this little place with an attached laundrymat has made me a fan. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Also, the owner CHANNA is a VERY good business woman with a GREAT sense of customer service. Very highly recommended!!!!

First time visiting and I was so happy I did! The doughnuts are so fluffy and soft, they melt in your mouth. We came in closer to close and they were still very fresh. The gentleman that helped us was very welcoming and kind, they even brewed fresh coffee for us. Will definitely be back!!

I was on a donut bicycle ride with a friend, sampling donuts from what ended up being a dozen shops from this one on the SE end of town, to as far as Bitter Lake at the NE end, and everything in between. This place had the best value of donut shops we went to. Yes, I ate a $5 donut on Capitol Hill on this ride that was tastier, but OMG, $5 for a donut? King Donuts hit the sweet spot (heh) of offering a good quality, fresh, delicious donut that wasn't outrageous in price. The interior was clean and cheerful, something not every family-owned and operated shop in this city can manage - I know, having now been inside so many! The owner was knowledgeable about his own donuts and his competitors'. I appreciated him sharing what he knew. Staff in general was friendly, took care of us and other customers well.

Love the fluffy donuts here, been coming to the business for years at their prior location too! I couldn't find a cake for my daughter early in the morning so I decided to do a donut cake, it was perfect to come here since they open at 7am! I got the variety I needed and pick up an americano, which BTW was a good flavor of coffee bean! Pricier than average but worth it imo. Wish they made maple bar donut with the holes! It would've been great for my donut cake haha mmmm but I really enjoyed the Mango tajin, ube and pistachio flavors!

"Do you know why they call us "king" donuts? Because it's our name." Just the typical hilarious banter you can expect here. All jokes aside this business has won me office competitions and bragging rights for best donuts brought in. Every single time I've ever gone in here I've left feeling better than I walked in. The staff is bright and friendly. The donuts are incredible, best in town, hands down. I hope business booms and they can open all over the state!

Delicious and fresh donuts! Stopped in here on a Sunday morning and picked up a half dozen donuts for $9.50. Customer service was top-notch and they accept all major credit cards. I will definitely have to come back for lunch!

Found this gem while exploring the neighborhood. What a delight!! Donuts were still fresh late in the day. Perfect size to share or splurge and they have donut holes!! Sometimes you only want a nibble. Donuts were so light, fluffy and melt in your mouth. Filled donuts are actually filled. Apple fritters have actual apple. I would have shown you the donuts holes but I ate them.

Yummy fresh local donuts, they have seasonal fun Halloween shapes and seasonal flavors (Today was ube, pistachio or mango). They have coffee and other cafe type drinks available. This new location is nicer than the original. They have some seating inside if you want to hang and have some coffee and donuts. I got the ube and chocolate ring, and a Halloween spider which is cherry and chocolate. Definitely check them out!

The best Thai food in Seattle, even with such a limited menu. The donuts, I'm told, were fresh and delicious. Customer service was too notch. My only complaint was the customer there beatboxing while spinning around, with her mask sitting under her chin. No one said anything to her, so I left and called the employee at the desk to bring it out for me.

Take my family here often. All I can say...amazing. They have unique and tasy donuts that are decently priced. The sea salf caramel twist might be my favorite donut on earth. Just go here.

"Delicious, freshly-baked donuts baked with love by a family business." Pros: 😀 Fresh-baked donuts made daily. 😀 Excellent soft, puffy texture with a slightly crispy outer texture. 😀 Friendly, family-owned business 😀Plenty of parking 😀 Reasonably priced Cons: 😔 Most of the donuts are traditional, no weird or wacky creations. 😔 Donuts tend to sell out so make sure you keep yourself informed via their FB page. 🤓 Ken's Takeaway: King Donuts has been a staple in the Rainier Beach/South Seattle area for many years. Starting off as a donut shop, teriyaki/Thai food, and laundromat, the well-known establishment will be transitioning as a donut-only venue in August 2021. I stopped by on a Saturday early afternoon (around 1pm) and ordered a few donuts to try out. What came as a surprise, they didn't have pre-filled donuts but you had the option of having it filled between three flavors (cream, raspberry, and lemon). The overall texture of the donuts has a soft and fluffy consistency, which was good considering that some donuts tend to have a dry or dense texture. The initial bite has a slight crispiness to the outer texture but you will eventually be led into the fluffy goodness. Pretty much all of the donuts were traditional fare (maple bars, sprinkled, old-fashioned, with cream, etc.) so those looking for more creative or outrageous creations may need to look elsewhere. Although the donuts lean more traditional, you can tell that the bakers have really perfected their recipe and it shows in the overall taste and texture. Customer service was also friendly and King Donuts has plenty of parking so no worries about finding a spot. As a heads up, they typically sell out of donuts so make sure you check out their Facebook page for updates. Otherwise, you might head home empty-handed. 🤔Would I go back? Yes! The donuts are delicious and reasonably priced, so anyone hankering for some good ol' traditional donuts and near the Rainier Beach area should stop by and check them out. Also, it's always good to support local businesses so this family-owned establishment is worth the patronage.
