This is authentic Mexican food! Take it from an ex-Californian. I'm very glad I found this place. Try the mole sauce. My raven loved the beans, rice, and cheese enchiladas we got. The guy who brought our food had a sense of humor.
This was our first time here and it was delicious. Despite being short handed, the place filled up quick and the orders didn’t take that long to come out. I had the deliciously crispy Flautas (there were 3, but I ate one before taking a photo 😅) and my wife had the Fajitas with shrimp (camarones). We both loved the food as well as the not-too-sweet and very strong house margaritas 👌🏻 (my wife had the mango w/Tajín rim). Overall we really enjoyed the food, drinks and service here and look forward to coming back sometime soon.
We love this restaurant! The chef/server/cashier is so nice and hardworking. The food is great with big portions. The decor feels homey and authentic.
We love the queso fundido with warm flour tortillas, so good!
My first time coming here, it’s been highly recommended by friends and locals. I can see why the reviews are so high, really loved it too! Very welcoming, enjoyable ambiance and very attentive service. Generous portions of delicious food and drinks! All at good prices - moved from Mexico 10+ yrs ago and was pleasantly surprised by the authentic taste, so good! - try the flautas and any of the margaritas - Also happy to meet Martin. He’s definitely a hard worker- bar/cook/waiter/buses tables but service is top notch and FAST! - did remember to ask his name. I will definitely be returning and letting more friends know about this place too.
Everything was pretty good! Ordered a taco salad, nachos, and Chile relleno plate. The taco salad was pretty heavy-handed with the rice and a little bit of lettuce at the bottom. Next time will likely ask for no rice and more lettuce. The nachos had the beans underneath the chips which I thought was smart, especially for takeout.
Seattle is not known for its Mexican food (rightfully so) but this place is a major exception. Their pork chile guajillo burrito one of the best I’ve ever had and I grew up in Chicago (which is known for great Mexican food)
Great food for a casual dinner. If you're looking for more a fine dining, this isn't it, but if you want a nice, casual time supporting a local business and can manage to wait for a few extra minutes since one person is operating the floor, it's amazing. I don't always crave Mexican/Tex Mex, but it will be a go to spot every now and then. The person working is also very sweet and nice.
So Chile Pepper is the real deal! Whole foods, and personalized service. The food is prepared with Love...(the Mole!) And the owner adds pizzazz to the entire experience! Our new neighborhood Mexican place!
A piece of real Mexico in the middle of Seattle. The place is very nice and comfy. The food is truly Mexican and the sauces are spectacular!
You must try the guacamole con totopos. From its presentation to it's taste is a true delicacy.
The mole Poblano, is also delicious.
Just be careful cause 1 tequila is never enough :)
Amazing! As a former Texan, I searched by this place for good Mexican food. The owner is so friendly and attentive and honestly hilarious. The food is phenomenal, and I recommend the mango margaritas 😍 this place deserves so much more business and love.
