Absolute best poke place in Seattle. I’ve tried em all. But the real 5 star goes to the owner, who is the nicest and most down to earth business owner I’ve met yet I Seattle. I know rent and politics is hard in this city, but I hope you succeed - cause you guys have the freshest lunch I can hope for!

Happened to stop by during the Capitol Hill Block Party, the Katsu Bar was not open but we did have poke. They allow you to build your own bowl, which takes some time but it's nice to have the customization option. Food itself was good, though I feel like I've had fresher poke elsewhere

If you're on Capital Hill and need a quick place to eat, this is it. The employees are always nice and the food is good. It's always hot and made well! You do have to buy at least two portions of katsu. I'm guessing to make it worth making in the kitchen? The only side note I have is that you have to ask for extra katsu sauce, if you get it to go. They give you a small container that's only half full. One full container is good for one order of katsu but they force you to buy two orders so you need two containers of sauce. They'll give you more but you have to ask. Of course, you still don't have enough with two because (like I said above) they don't fill up the containers. They still get 5 stars (even with the sauce) issue because that's so minor.

Ordered chicken katsu and pork katsu with cabbage salad and white rice. Katsu were great. Crispy and not dry. The cabbage salad dressing was only okay, too watery. It's pretty good value. I'd come back again the next time I'm feeling katsu.

This is my favorite poke place in all of Capitol Hill if not just for price, but also for all the amazing toppings. I love that you can get as many toppings as you want for the same price. The variety is amazing - corn, pineapple, jalapenos, onion, crab salad, seaweed salad, cucumber salad, etc. Their fish selection is also great - they have more than just your normal tuna and salmon. They also have scallops, shrimp, and more! I also love that they started offering bibimbap as well, and if you're adventurous, you can mix and match poke with bibimbap meats.

First time eating here, the portion sizes were impressive, especially for the price. Trust me, you won't have to order the large bowl. Service was also very friendly, and effective. I reccomend.

I've been on a multi-year tour de poké bars in Seattle. It's a slow tour with many repeat stops just to check for accuracy. But I can say with high confidence that this is the best place for poké bowls in the city... hands down! Their pricing is incredible for their quality. Their "large" size has 4 scoops of fresh fish, which i believe is at least 12 oz. Their sauces are amazing. So many combinations and unique flavors! I even keep trying to push the boundaries with different flavors thinking they will surely mess up with something, and honestly (though I obviously have my favorites) they are all bomb. Don't go anywhere else if you want this. It's amazing. Must do!
