Been living and dining around the Puget Sound for more than two decades and have sampled many of the local restaurants. Bamboo Village is hands down one of our favorites. The dim sum is on par with (and for some dishes, rivals) the most notable spots in the International District. The dinner menu is a mix of Hong Kong style and Americanized options, so you have plenty of choices when ordering. Some of our favorites include the best green onion pancake in Seattle. (Remember Fu Man Dumpling House and their thick, savory, crispy pancake that put all others to shame? This one is just as good!) The Three Delicacies with Garlic Sauce has a mix of spicy, tangy, and sweet flavors with a load of veggies and proteins (chicken, beef, and shrimp) and is outstanding. We've never had a bad dish here. The staff are super nice and helpful, always greeting us with a smile, answering our questions, and helping us with our order. Portions are plentiful, so you may leave with some to-go boxes. The interior is clean and airy with simple decorations. Bathrooms are well maintained and conveniently located. Dining room can accommodate larger parties, so it's a good place to bring friends or coworkers. But the real stars are the food and service, which are both generous. Highly recommended.

The quality and size of the portions has improved much over the last several months. Service is attentive and friendly. The dim sum menu has gotten more streamlined , I would guess the more popular items have remained, for anticipated reasons. Everything being more expensive now a days and the margins to keep a restaurant open are RAZOR thin. One of our top 3 places north of Seattle Metro to go to for a dim sum fix.

Went here for an event with about 13 people. Our waitress was phenomenal - even remembered where one couple sat 6 months ago during their last visit. We all shared food and every dish was really good. My favorite was salt and pepper squid.

Regret not coming here at all ever since I moved to Seattle 7 years ago. Constantly passed by this place since my friends live around here as well and we often brushed it off thinking the food wouldn’t be good. I regret always driving down to International District for dimsum thinking there isn’t around here. But today, everything changed and so happy that I decided to come give this place a try. We order our usual dimsum dishes such as spare ribs, chicken feet, bean curd roll, chive and shrimp dumplings, honey walnut prawn, shumai, and turnip cake. Rest assured everything is so fresh and you can tell that since they made their dimsum daily. Just by the time it took for them to bring out the turnip cake, you know that they literally fried it just now since it’s so crispy on the top unlike other places where they serve it soggy. Every dish have its own distinct flavoring where it’s not like those frozen dim sum takeouts where the shrimp dishes all taste similar. Also all 9 dishes came out to $57.05!!! Like what even is this place. Such a hidden gem that I’ll be coming back for more. No longer sleeping on this place no more!!!

Comfort food to start a day, their dim sum is home style and has a good portion. I like the 小笼包, 肉丝春卷, and 腐竹包 in particular. The congee 皮蛋瘦肉粥 isn't agreeing to everyone, but I think it's quite alright. I see people wearing snow gear looks like about to head out for skiing trip or something, must be a good and warm start for their day.

Excellent dim sum. Food reminds me so much of home and some dim sum places. Pieces are pretty big and prices very reasonable. Easy to find this place as well.

Nice atmosphere comfy place . Services always the quickest in whole Seattle area , I never had to wait like other dim sum places . Food always good and tastes the same . I kind of don't want to review this place because I don't want too many people came here but I been coming here for years and I think they deserved and 5 stars review .

Service was great, not very busy around the time we went(2-3 pm). Chow mein was nice and crunchy and the sauce on it was some of the best I’ve had.

UPDATE August 2020 We have been regulars at Bamboo Village for many years. Early this year the management and kitchen turned over. We are pleased to report that the quality of the food continues to be first rate, even as take-out. We send Crystal and her chef our best wishes for success in this time that can be so difficult for family businesses. It makes us happy that whenever we pick up our orders, we see other folks there too. Great! Eat well and keep BV alive! OLD REVIEW We are regulars at Bamboo Village—the food is reliably fantastic, dim sum-for-dinner is a must and the bill when it comes is ridiculously frugal. Last night the chef/owner and his wife Becky (who works the front) outdid themselves. To celebrate my dad's 90th birthday we called the day before to ask them to pick up a 4.5 lb. lobster for us. We also asked if they could find some fresh, local oysters. I don't know who their seafood people are, but the product is always excellent! My dad was in heaven (we were too). So if you can plan ahead a day or two, special order seafood that's not normally in the kitchen—they will find great stuff for you and only add a modest charge for the prep and cooking.
