I wasn't sure about the hype given that they are a national chain. But I went to the Seattle store's grand opening and found that their reputation is deserved. I had the combo platter (chicken and beef) with extra falafel on the side. It was well cooked - the meats blended well together with the lettuce and tomato. The white sauce and red sauce are both as good as advertised, they add a spicy kick to the food. The falafel was spicy as well. For as crowded as it was yesterday service was fast and I was able to find a spot at the counter. The owner even came by and asked if I wanted more white sauce (I did, and he put more on). It is great, and worth a stop.
Good gyro platter. Nice stop in Pioneer Square. I would definitely recommend.
Discovering The Halal Guys in Seattle was a delightful surprise, bringing back fond memories of my first taste in NYC three years ago. Finally, I can indulge in their mouthwatering halal cuisine right here in Seattle.
The restaurant offers indoor seating, allowing guests to savor their flavorful dishes in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The star of the show is undoubtedly their legendary hot sauce. Its perfect balance of heat and flavor adds an irresistible kick to every bite, elevating the entire dining experience.
The combination of gyro and chicken is a match made in heaven, offering a delightful contrast of textures and savory flavors. Each bite is a harmonious blend of tender meat and fragrant spices.
Don't miss out on the enticing array of sides and desserts. The baklava is a sweet and flaky delight, while the falafel and pita chips provide delightful crunch and depth of flavor.
The Halal Guys have truly brought their culinary prowess to Seattle, offering an authentic taste of their renowned halal cuisine. It's a must-visit for both longtime fans and newcomers alike, promising a satisfying and memorable dining experience.
Stopped for a quick bite. I got the chicken platter. It was really nice with the white garlic sauce and quite filling as well. Decent portions for the price. The lady at the counter was very friendly and courteous! Will be dropping by again
We had Combo platters. It tastes good. It included both beef and chicken. It is really good that toppings and veggies can be of our choice. The red sauce is tooooo spicy. My husband usually likes extra- hot and spicy sauce, but even he couldn't have it. The server definitely warned us about the sauce, though. The quantity is really very generous and filling. There's sitting space both inside and outside.
First time I had it in the NEW YORK CITY since then I like to eat every corner of the halal guys!
love the unique taste and the combination. Yum!
As its a small shop when it gets busy waiting area and also seating area are very tight. otherwise great place and taste…..

Always enjoy a meal at the halal guys! This location is quite small with paid parking around but still the food is yummy.
Seattle’s first taste of the Famous Newyork food truck sensation, now a series of fast food chains across US. The chicken bowl was great, layered with beautifully flavoured pilaf rice, wonderfully cooked chicken, and a great sauce. One of the best I have had, not just in Seattle but across, service was quick & friendly, definitely my first, but not my last visit here.
I got the family meal (gyro meat and falafel) for the great quarantine of 2020. 🤣 It was delicious! And a great amount for the price! The baklava is the best I've ever had, thank you!
(Note: there is no need for you to buy EXTRA sauce)
And that hot sauce is no joke it might actually be the spiciest the on Seattle.
This Halal Guys is not as good as 53rd and 6th in NYC, but it comes close enough. I have no idea what people are saying about it being slow, other than the first day, as I walked in on a Monday afternoon and was in and out in probably a minute. I understand there being lines as it just opened up and there still is a lot of hype.
The white sauce is the same, hot sauce is the same and is just as hot, rice is the same, pita is the same, and the chicken is almost as good and isn't dry at all (it's more dry in NYC). I don't understand the complaints - it put a smile on my face and took me back to NYC.
Price is $13 which is quite a big difference from NYC, but I understand having a brick & mortar store in downtown Seattle costs more to rent and operate than a tiny food truck.
Maybe people don't understand it's not meant to be a fancy looking dish? It always visually looks like a mess, and it's supposed to.
Go, enjoy, realize it's not meant to be pretty looking, eat, you won't regret it.
Edit: I went again and staff do not concentrate on the customer and don't listen to your order. I had problems with two orders not being correct in a row, so I bumped this to a 4/5.
5/5 rating for this. their chicken is the best ! Wish they had more items on their menu. Liked this place in Seattle downtown. Add hot sauce only if you can take the spiciness.
Wow! What a delicious sandwiches! All Halal, one sandwich is big enough to make you full to the rest of the day. Fast and great service! Must try if you are around 😉 nice staff running the property. recommend it
