Not a bad Vietnamese restaurant at all! I ducked in here midday on a Sunday. So many restaurants that I had bookmarked downtown aren't open on a Sunday so it took a bit of looking to find one that was. I guess I can see why so many places are closed because there was very few diners in here despite quite a few people out and about outside.
At Long I wanted something a bit on the lighter side and not Pho which they had. I am such a seasonal person with Pho. In the summer the last thing I want to do is get even warmer that it already is outside!
So I settled on an Eggroll Rice Noodle Bowl which was very good! The dish was very tasty but thought it could have been maybe a bit fresher with the veggies and the rolls. It wasn't enough to not make me come back though since the meal otherwise was very enjoyable.
The service is very prompt and friendly so no complaints there!
As promised, it’s been at least a month since I last blogged about a place outside of Vancouver so anything is fair game now. This time it’s fairly local compared to my Europe trip, with a little weekend road trip down to Seattle with The Italian and Little Bunny. The occasion? PAX Prime of course! One of the world’s biggest gamer conventions where all things geek collide across all of the downtown Seattle convention centres for a 4-day orgy of never ending gaming. Looking to play some board games? No problem, just visit The Library with literally thousands of games for you to choose from. Want to play the latest Super Mario Maker before it’s out? They’ve got it. Want to slay some baddies in Dungeons & Dragons? I hope you brought your D20. If not, they’ve got thousands of them on sale there too. One warning and a bit of advice though as Little Bunny quickly learned. The crowd here is predominantly male nerds which means most are socially inept which unfortunately translates to poor hygiene, so be sure to bring some nose plugs or a high tolerance for body odor.
I am a Vietnamese food snob and this Vietnamese restaurant was delicious! We got about 10 dishes to share and everything was made perfectly. I wasn't a fan of the pho dac biet though. The soup was average and they served a different kind of beef with it not the typical rare beef.
Long has a little lounge as well called the Jelly Fish Bar. A bit more casual from the dining room. This restaurant does authentic Vietnamese food amazingly.
There salads I cannot explain with words they are great, my personal favorite would be the duck salad. I've also had the grilled squid app.... so good.
Everything on the menu is delicious, you cannot go wrong because this restaurant executes every dish they display on the menu deliciously.
... bò xã lụi--which is basically grilled, ground beef that's seasoned with fresh herbs and lemongrass. With notes of onion and garlic, it's a savory start with some heat.
Great atmosphere and service. Plus food is yummy.. Came and was promptly seated luckily before lunch rush came in. Ordered the Spring Roll which was a Salad Roll and it was nicely presented and yummy.
Also had the Special Pho and it was pretty good as well, no complaints.
Service was pretty good throughout given it was busy during the lunch period.
Best Recommendation of Our Trip!. Nothing truly tops the combination of delicious menu options, late-night hours, charming atmospheric decor, hotel walking distance, and welcoming staff. After several failed attempts to locate a late-night coffee shop, a pair of Floridans approached their Moore Hotel receptionist and were referred to the Long Provincial Vietnamese Restaurant literally a street away from the hotel. Our only regret was not finding this treasure earlier :) Recommended to us, recommended to you ~
Great Happy Hour. Fantastic Happy Hour selection and prices. The food is delicious and the martinis are good too. The Guava Martini is my personal favorite--the rim is lined with sugar and chili flakes which make perfect blend of spicy and sweet.
Outstanding. Everything is great, but the short ribs and Basil Lemon Drops are to die for! And the staff are so attentive an friendly. Highly recommended.
Not much to look at from outside. We almost walked past it, but it had a really nice door. What a nice surprise, it was a pleasant atmosphere and attractive. The food was very good - I would go again.
A really great Vietnamese place with delicious albeit prices dishes. It can get crowded around lunch rush. The server was really friendly and attentive. The food is a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. The egg rolls tasted absolutely amazing and the summer rolls were very fresh. Entree options are plentiful and delicious as well. I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good Vietnamese place and don't mind spending.
Food was delicious. Service was friendly, but slow and inefficient. We told the server we were planning a family style dinner. However, the server kept bringing our food without any serving spoons. He always had to go back and get us a spoon. We were left staring at our food minutes at a time while waiting for a serving spoon. Despite that, we did enjoy our dinner. We would come back.
From the outside, if you can find it, it might look like a hole in the wall place, but you'll be pleasantly surprised when you walk through the door. I had a small fried tofu pho which was way too much for me, but I sure gave it a good try! I was a little surprised with the noodles, not a bad thing, but I would prefer the traditional noodles. Still, that wasn't enough for me to rate them lower. Nice, fast pace but upscale place. Not a place I would bring kids. Great place!
Delicious, authentic food. I wish the menu had better descriptions, but the staff was friendly and helpful. I also wish there was a happy hour so I would come here more often!
I loved this place.. the pho was amazing. The waiter was very polite. Loved the atmosphere. I would definitely come here again.
This place was seriously good, and our waiter could not have been nicer! Have anyone with allergies in your family or friend group? This place seamlessly handles vegetarian, gluten-free, shellfish allergies and more! Plus, not to mention how absolutely delicious all our food was! The eggplant appetizer was fantastic (both veggie & GF 🎉) and the chicken bowl was a definite win as well - excited to return when I’m back in town, thank you for your commitment to helping customers find menu items they can eat and for your high-quality dishes! ✨
Came here for my birthday and got seated very quickly on a Sunday night. The jellyfish tank is OK, I grew up in Chinatown so I'm used to eating next to giant fish tanks. They're a little small here. The food was bomb though, and service was fine too. It's a little loud which sucks if you have a soft voice, but other than that pretty nice restaurant for when you're in the mood for classier Vietnamese.
Went there for a late night dinner a couple hours after arriving in Seattle... i ordered the grilled pork with vermicelli noodles, and my friend had Pho.
Service was slow. Food quality was good, nothing special. I’ve had much better Vietnamese food.
The food was very tasty. I have never eaten better pho soup before. The stuff was good too, fast and kind. The restaurant is in the downtown.
Went there for the rather later dinner. The ambiance was cool, there are some jelly fish in the tank! Food was okay, price is a bit high, service was extremely mediocre. Not sure if I'd go back again.
