This is a hidden gem in Seattle, highly recommended by locals. It's the go-to spot for satisfying late-night cravings as they stay open quite late.
Their Huge catfish is the standout dish, with a crispy exterior and moist, flavorful interior. The beef salad is another highlight, while the snails are decent.
It's worth noting that Rainier Restaurant is located in the basement, and wheelchair access is limited. Keep this in mind when planning your visit.
Service can be slow, especially around 8:30 pm. To avoid delays, it's best to call ahead and order the catfish, which takes approximately 30 minutes to prepare.
Rainier Restaurant provides an authentic Vietnamese dining experience, making it a must-visit spot for those seeking flavorful dishes in Seattle.
“Exotic dishes” are what they’re known for. Snails, grilled cat fish and beyond. All tasty! If you’re not sure what to order, just ask the servers and you won’t be disappointed. It’s a casual place but service is friendly and attentive.
Highly highly recommend!
This was an incredible meal!!! We had the razor clams, omelette, mixed grill bun, and pho! Way too much food, but we’re so happy to take it home. Our servers Emma and LY were wonderful, especially helping us order! The lemongrass sauce that came with the clams was fabulous, I’ve never had anything like it! Cam on!
The fried catfish and salad here was amazing, loved the food here as it wasn’t too salty or greasy. Service was stellar. The food came out real fast too. I’d come back, they have a lot of food on their menu you can’t get anywhere else.
A great Vietnamese restaurant that offers more than the usual pho, rice, and vermicelli dishes. The cat fish dish seems to be the most popular item but it’s served who and that’s way too much food for the two of us so we opted to try a couple of their other items.
Razor clams were delicious! The sauce is super flavourful and balanced. The morning glory was cooked perfectly. Not oily and super tender.
Very authentic Vietnamese cuisine covering a broad range of options. The beef, pho, pancake & razor clams were really good. Convenient to park right outside.
Best Viet BBQ place in seattle. Comparable to San Jose and Orange county Viet food
Honestly, we didn’t know what to expect when we first got there. The many of the foods seemed so exotic i didn’t want to order the wrong thing. But of the dishes ended up being just as delicious as they are beautiful! The dishes them selves are worthy of a photo opp. Everything was great! We left full and happy. Be sure to ask for the server, Mimi, when you go! We had no clue what to get, but she asked us about our tastes and made recommendations accordingly. She is so happy and full of energy. She really took the time to chat and joke with us and give good recommendations!
Great Service!!!! MIMI is the best server there. She knows what dishes is great when paired with drinks. The coconut snail and veggie dip was amazing. I'm not from around town and she sure do know where to go to enjoy the lifestyle here. She is funny and talkative. When coming to dine in make sure to ask for Mimi. She will take good care of you as she did when we were in town. Thank Mimi..
I had a Banh MI sandwich and spring rolls. It's actually Banh Mi Deli and Boss Tea in the same restaurant. It's confusing because the sign outside says BBQ Restaurant. I think that is the name of the old restaurant that is now closed. Hopefully Banh Mi Deli will get their own sign soon. The food was just okay. When we were there it seemed the tea and drink part of their restaurant was busy. We didn't try their drinks though.
