First time in Seattle and I found my favorite Mexican restuarant! Definitely gonna be my go to spot for authentic Mexican food!
Delicious dishes!
The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the Pork Tamales and they were probably the best I've ever eaten.
I visited "La Cocina Oaxaqueña" recently and tried a couple of dishes, the "torta de milanesa" and the "carne asada platillo." The authenticity of the food stood out; it genuinely felt like I was savoring the flavors of Oaxaca. The torta de milanesa had a generous serving of breaded meat, and the carne asada was beautifully presented. However, I couldn't help but notice that both dishes lacked a bit of taste. While they were undoubtedly authentic, they were missing that extra punch of flavor that would have made them exceptional.
The service at the restaurant was pleasant, and the ambiance had a cozy, rustic feel that added to the overall experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the comfort of the visit.
No free chips!!!!
In summary, "La Cocina Oaxaqueña" offers an authentic taste of Oaxacan cuisine, with generous portions and a warm atmosphere. However, a little more seasoning in the dishes could truly elevate the dining experience.
We ordered takeout. The food was anticipated to be cooled by the time we got back to the hotel and it was delicious even cooled. The beans are good. We got carne asada each time. The tortillas are very good. Don’t mind the photo because it got swung and doesn’t look so hot due to our own selves. It’s delicious.
This place was extremely busy but capitol hill is always busy. We got a seat outside which was nice but the service was extremely slow but everyone was extremely apologetic. We weren’t in a hurry so we were ok with it. The waiter suggest to get the scratch margaritas and they were really tasty and not heavy on the sweetness so that was a good call. The kids meals were good portions too. We got carne asada quesadillas and they could’ve shared one. The steak Plato was the best I thought and everyone liked their food. The guacamole was on point. They also had a salsa bar!
Authentic Mexican food, at a prime location. They have a vegetarian mole coloradito! It was very similar to what I had in Mexico city. They also have a separate vegetarian menu, with unique dishes you can't find elsewhere in the neighborhood, such as the potato tostadas. To top it off, they have a free salsa bar, with 4 varieties of fresh salsa, so you're guaranteed to be satisfied in the flavor department.
The food was INCREDIBLE, the staff was kind and generous and we were amazed by watching the cooking from the bar. We absolutely loved it and will be back ASAP!
Food was tasty, service was super fast and friendly, and the whole experience was great. I was so hungry I ended up ordering a second plate of dinner food, but maybe because I didn't have any appetizers. My only critique is that the veggie dishes could be a little bolder in terms of flavor. 9/10, I'll definitely go back!
Good food but I wish portions were larger given the size. The chicken mole only had a piece of chicken thigh for the entree but was delicious and rice was garlicky. The beans and rice were just okay.
Service was rather slow, but that wasn't a problem because they were busy! Staff was friendly, I ordered pozole and a Michelada. Then, I tried a few other cocktails. Soup was delicious! The drinks were amazing. I'll be coming back when I'm visiting Seattle.
This was truly amazing and the very definition of authentic Moroccan and Mexican foods. The staff is amazing. Our server Michael was on his ish. He gave recommendations that were off the chain 😋 delicious. The mojito was perfectly made. I am so glad we drove by and decided to stop. You have to stop by and try these amazing dishes. We found our spot to come back again and again out in Seattle!
Legit reminds me of my families cooking from Mituacan, Mexico. So good, very authentic, and service was great. I 100% would go here again. Prices are slightly high, compared to a non Seattle restaurant, however the experience, memories of good food, and service were spot on. I can't tell you how authentic and good the food was. We got the chips and guac, which was fresh. I had the Carne Asada Plato and my boyfriend had the Tacos de Asada Y Dorados were good. However the dorados could've used more salt.
