Nifty pizzerias come and go in Seattle - as do pizza trends. Thick crust, thin crust, no crust, ingredients only from producers within a 25 mile radius, etc.etc.
While these trends can be great, I am personally not a fan of pizza as fashion. That's why I love Tutta Bella. Over the years, they have continued to serve up delicious thin crust pizza (and a modest selection of other items, including pastas and calzones), including great gelato and truly awesome salads.
They offer a small, well curated list of wines and a few specialty beers.
Their pizza always makes me smile. It is consistent and delicious. They were one of the first Neapolitan (thin, charred crust, special ingredients) shops in town and we've been eating there since their first shop opened in the S. End. of Seattle.
And their staff is outstanding. I appreciate that they've removed the tipping option and simply have a surcharge to help pay staff a living wage. The funny thing is that it seems to have improved staff morale - each time we've visited after this change, we've received truly outstanding service.
Also - kids plates! Our grandson ordered the kids spaghetti & marinara plate the other day. Out came a platter with an artfully twirled mound of perfectly al dente spaghetti, covered and mixed with a lush, light marinara and topped with a generous grating of grana padano. It was - seriously - enough for a very hungry (and large!) adult.
It's hard to know where to start with this restaurant's sheer awesomeness. Okay, first, the happy hour, happy whether or not you drink. Delectable wood fired pizzas which must be eaten immediately (my pleasure) and an assortment of salads, snacks & drinks from 3-6PM every day of the week. The Naploli salad & various flavors of gelato are fantastic, I never pass them up. Sunday nights there's a live jazz trio, the place is very family-friendly and when kids grow up dancing to live jazz, that's great community service right there.
Great location and awesome atmosphere. They had a fall special that was a fig pizza. Let me tell you it was great. Crispy fluffy not chewy but melty cheese. It hit the spot. If you have a chance to enjoy their pizza you won't regret the fire grilled goodness they offer.
Wow!! Great service, food, and the house wine- so good!! We were well informed of how special this place is and what it serves. We were gifted bruschetta with fresh tomatoes. Delish! We had a pizza with fresh fresh fresh tomatoes and pepperoni! Just delish! We’ll be back if we ever get to Seattle again!
Nice pizza spot! Especially liked the pear gelato - it’s so different than other flavors. We had the beets salad, spaghetti and tutta bella pizza - they were all good! Tuesday was half off wine bottle day and we liked it too!
We loved the food. We had a large group and got seated quickly! Prices are good too.
Tutta Bella is a date night staple for my partner and I. We both order our own pizzas and have leftovers for the following day. You can expect delicious wood fired pizza and wonderful apps. This place has great Burrata that comes served with crispy house made bread and peperonata which was lovely. Get a to go box and save room for the gelato; if you need a pick me up the affogato is a go to.
Love love love this spot for an elevated pizza dining experience. The restaurant is always buzzing and feels cozy. The outside patio seating on a warm summer day is OH so lovely. The pizzas are always so tasty and their burrata starter is one my favorites. Have also had their gelato and its a perfect end to the meal. Would go again and again!
Our favorite Neapolitan pizza in Seattle ❤️Tasty, thin, with quality ingredients! Totally recommend!
The food and service was good. I got a Margarita pizza and I thought it tasted very good. If I had to say something bad it would be that it was very thin and mostly crust. However the pastas and salads that others around me ordered looked delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
This is our favorite place to go. It’s a bit far from our location but we come here once in awhile.
The service is great, the food as well.
My favorite one, is roasted eggplant pizza.
The only thing is, the parking lot is really small. And when is getting crowded you have to park somewhere else.
Awesome pizza napoletana -- we had tutta bella, the namesake dish. The beet salad with pistachio was marinated -- really good as well. Wine list OK.
