Lakeside dining with a beautiful sunset view! My husband had shrimp and grits, which was "the best he's ever had." I had fried oysters, and I was disappointed. Very small oysters and cornmeal coating was not good.
Wonderful riverside location (including duck where, it appears, boaters could tie up & walk up to the restaurant. Only domestic beers + Stella Artois in bottles, but a good selection of those. Slow service, but who's in a hurry by the river? Worth seeking.
The food was fantastic and the servers were great very polite and always checked to see if I needed anything A++
We were sent to The Docks by our fishing guide, who turned out to be a pretty good restaurant guide as well. On Gunthersville Lake in Alabama, back off the road a piece, sits this great eatery. We were told "Don't go there unless you have the shrimp and grits". He was so right. We started with the gumbo, do have this. We followed with fried green tomatoes. I'm sure the were good but we don't like them. Then on to the shrimp and grits. All I can say is yummmmm. We finished with key lime pie and I had the bread pudding. Once again yummmmm.
The rib eye, shrimp, scallops, and lobster were delicious. Our server (Taylor) was attentive and friendly. The view from the deck is beautiful. What a hidden treasure!
Great service and food. Fried green tomatoes scrumptious, best steak I have had in a restaurant in a very long time. Views down the river awesome!
