Thai Chef

Stopped in while visiting and must say we’re pleased. The staff is super friendly and warm. We had a special request and to our surprise they accommodated us. We wanted the Thai Basil ground pork —it’s ground pork, bell peppers, basil and rice. We must say they did excellent with our request and we’re very appreciative. The spring rolls was on point as well. Definitely recommend

The curry here is amazing. I like the Massaman Curry while my husband likes Red curry. We order extra rice because of its small portion size compared to the curry. If you like extra spice, I recommend adding some Carolina reaper to the meal, can buy it on amazon. I have tried their sushi and it was good, but I keep going back for the curry. Thai chef is an eat-in restaurant and can also order take-out. They also have delivery via Doordash.

We are so happy to have this Thai restaurant close to where we live. We finally got to try it, and we really liked it. We even got there before the dinner rush which was perfect because it's not very spacious, and got full quickly. When we left there were several people waiting for seats to clear up. Food was yummy and flavorful. I love the Thai Chef Curry. Sooo creamy. My husband got the pho and really enjoyed it too! Service was really friendly! We did notice there was some confusion with serving tho. There was multiple people doing multiple things, example one person came to ask for drinks, leaves then another person asks about drinks, we mention first person is getting it, and same with taking our order... multiple people repeating tasks. I mean I guess that's showing they are attentive to the customer, but I think if they designated employees to specific tables it wouldn't feel to repetitive or that they aren't sure who needs something or already been helped, if that makes sense. Because of this style of service part of our order was misordered, then canceled, as we were still waiting we were asked if we still wanted it, even though we were still expecting it and had no idea it was canceled... so we just told them to not worry about it (it was an appetizer, and we were basically done with our main dish). Not bashing here (we loved everything), just hoping to shed some light on maybe a way to encourage the service routine? Over all we loved it and plan to come back again some time!

On the way home from New Braunfels I was looking for something to eat. I googled restaurants near me and this one pop up. It is a small Thai restaurant that is out of the way. The interior is small so the tables are very close together. The staff are continuously moving about so there is very short waiting time should you need a refill. I ordered the pad thai and found it to be quite good. I will definitely return should i be un the area.

I've eaten here twice now. Both times the food was really good. Menu selection is great, wait service has been hit or miss. I've tried the pad thai, spring rolls, pad see ewe, and the Philadelphia roll. Everything I've had has been good.. Spice levels have been consistently on the low side. Portion sizes are OK, but I usually have to order more than a single entree. Menu prices are decent, not overly expensive but not really cheap, which has limited my visits. I'll be returning to try some more items in the future.
