It was my first time at the Fresh Basil Cafe.
I was pleasantly surprised.
I asked the young man who was taking my order what his favorite was and he was right, the Canadian Chicken Panini was delicious! Good portion size, Great flavor and reasonably priced.

Really friendly staff. They also speak German. Menu offers a great variety of food. Ate the Buddha bowl. Was delicious. Would recommend.

A remarkable experience. Indoor seating could be more comfortable / inviting.... but it was a beautiful day, so sat outside. Service was fantastic; very accomodating. Guy at register very pleasant; boss lady maybe not so much. Huge menu for such a tiny place....everything super fresh and delicious! Will definitely be a "go to" place when in Saugatuck!

We had spent a day at the beach in Holland. We looked online for a vegan meal and didn't find much that was still open. Fresh Basil Cafe was kind of close and they were open later than most places. We drove to Saugatuck, not knowing anything about the town, and absolutely loved it there. Very cool town, hopping place, with lots of restaurants and shops. Beautiful area.
The Vegan Wrap (basically a falafel wrap) was excellent. We eat a lot of falafel and this was pretty good stuff. The kids got a Chicken Ontario Panini, and Lobster Roll. The panini was, "amazing", and my other child enjoyed his lobster roll. The only thing I didn't care for was they had bottle water and no regular free option. Not a fan when places that do that.

We stopped here for a lunch. It’s a smaller spot with lots of seating. Bigger menu so there’s a lot to choose from. We got a tuna wrap, tuna salad, and a gyro platter. I didn’t expect too much but the food was excellent. The portions were friendly and the food had amazing flavor. Next time we’re in town we’ll def be back. Thank you
