One of the best Italian experiences ever! I had the privilege to have a thoughtful conversation with Peter, at the bar, as I drank some Chianti wine paired with an octopus appetizer and veal entree with a side of pasta. Peter shared a small sample of a 2016 Sonoma wine that was delicious. The staff supporting Peter is first class. Wendy was my server and she shared some of her traveling experiences and her passion for food and wine. Wendy recommended everything I had for dinner and her choices were perfect. The taste and presentation at this restaurant is everything you expect at a high end restaurant in NYC, Chicago or any city in Italy. If you are staying in the Siesta Key or Sarasota area, this place should be on your list to have dinner. You will not be disappointed! There is a reason Peter has so many photos of famous people on his wall who have dined with him and his staff. Thank you Peter, Wendy and your staff for making this a memory of a lifetime! I will be back.

Outstanding authentic Italian cuisine! Once inside the restaurant you feel like you are in Italy, the service is wonderful, and Susan and Pietro make you feel like family. The escargot are some of the best I have ever had, my wife loves the veal chop parmesan, and one of my favorites is the veal Mama Lucia. Everything on the menu is delicious, and the fish and seafood taste like they were caught that day. One of the top restaurants in Sarasota! We can wait for our next dinner at Pietro's, grazie mille!

Had the best Italian meal we’ve ever had. Lobster ravioli and lasagna was both fresh and delicious. This atmosphere is so quaint, romantic and one of a kind. Alec was an amazing waiter and treated us like family. He treated us to a complimentary glass of bubbly from Croatia. The wine menu here is abundant. We will be back again. We were seated in the wine room which is lovely. It is very old world, cozy, dark and romantic which is challenging to find in a beach city. It is perfect if you are celebrating a special occasion. The Italian music set the perfect tone and atmosphere. It reminds me of the darkly lit, beautiful traditional Italian restaurants we used to frequent on the UES like Erminia's in NYC. When the food is not out in 2 minutes they are cooking from scratch. I greatly appreciate the time and effort. You can taste the quality of freshly prepared food. This is not fast food-it is freshly prepared high quality food. All good things come to those who wait. The veal parmigiana is tender and succulent with the perfect symphony of cheese and sauce. The side vegetables of peppers are cooked to perfection with a punch of flavor playing a harmony in my mouth. The generously served red wine is fullbodied and superbly smooth, with an aromatic bouquet. The servers are attentive but not intrusive. The main server, I didn't catch her name, is very accomodating and polite. We never felt rushed and savored every single morsel. The portions are generous and filling. They even sang happy birthday and came out with a slice of scrumptious cake and cream without any prompting when we mentioned we were celebrating my birthday. That is exceptional service right there. We had my parents 50th anniversary at Pietro's restaurant and the service and the food was phenomenal. We had a lot of options of where to go for this special event but we are thrilled that we went to Pietro's. They let us have the wine cellar room and had it decorated with lights and roses. The atmosphere really set the mood for the evening and the service we received only enhanced that. And I haven't mentioned the food. Which I believe is the best Italian food I have had in the USA. Excellent experience, service & food. Some of the pictures I had taken a bite or two to taste. The portions size was perfect no extra to take home. Perfect environment for a couple or small group. The owners, husband and wife both work here and come around to check food & service. Definitely recommend this place.

This was as close to Italy as I have gotten so far. The food was exception and the atmosphere and customer service was unparalleled. The owners delivered our food personally, and had such great personalities. They went above and beyond to make our dining experience amazing. They have a newly built/renovated dine-in wine room. It was incredible and so was the wine. The prices are well under what I expected for having such an authentic experience with high quality food. We had the veal parm, which I often have, and this was the best to date. You will be very happy you dined here.
