Don’t know why there are so many negative reviews. Been coming since original owners opened. I was born and raised in Brooklyn 83 years ago so I know a NY bagel. Currently live on Long Island near the Hamptons. Hard to find a real NY bagel in NY these days as the old Jewish bakers no longer exist. I thought the bagel I had today was pretty good for a Florida bagel. The outside was a little too crisp and the inside needs to be more chewy. I think I spoke to one of the owners this morning.she told me they were working on improving their bagel by visiting bagel shops in NY. Give them a chance or you will be stuck eating bagels from the chain store north of Bee Ridge. If you like those chain store bagels,you don’t know a NY bagel.

These are really good bagels. Especially for Florida, or anywhere outside of New York, which is the standard bearer of bagels. Certainly the best in Sarasota. When the original owners left I was sad that the quality would change, but they are still the best in Sarasota, so thank you to the new owners.

New owners AND still the best true bagels in Sarasota. I have no idea what people are complaining about. They still boil and bake. They are crisp on the outside and chewy soft on the inside, the way they should be and yes I moved here from Manhattan, I know what a good NYC bagel is...! It's Sunday morning in the place was packed!
