Ordered takeout since they are always pretty busy! Ordered ahead of opening and got my food right when I scheduled it to be ready. We did the 3 rolls for $10, and Cali roll + 4 pc nigiri for $10, and miso soup. The miso soup was quite salty. I have a very salty palate, so if I say something is salty just know I mean it! The rolls were great and the nigiri was the absolute best. The fish is very fresh tasting. A few of the other rolls also had a slight issue with saltiness, I had to water down the soy sauce they gave us so it wasn’t too overwhelming, but overall it was a delicious dinner for an amazing price!
Despite some things that detracted from the experience, I'm still happy to keep giving them my patronage. I've come here plenty of times pre-covid for picking up ramen to go, and there used to be 4 tables in the restaurant. I found a few pictures from a few years ago. Now there are only 2 tables, and 1 remained unbussed for my entire dine-in visit. Probably best to just get take out unless you can be flexible on wait times for a table. My Thai bubble tea was interesting - the bottom of the drink had a white paste-like substance that I could only relate as icing like on a cupcake, which needed to be mixed in. The cup it came in was absolutely humongous, 32 oz. The bubbles in this boba tea were different from the standard black pearls, in shape, color, and texture - they're more like lychee jelly. The friend that ordered a pork based ramen loved it and finished every last drop.
I was skeptical about the quality of sushi since it’s 3 rolls for $10 (24 pieces) but it was very good!
- Hawaiian Roll - Tuna, Salmon, Avocado, Mango
- GQ Roll - Salmon, Avocado, Cream Cheese
- Sapphire Roll - Spicy Tuna, Avocado, Cucumber, Tempura Flakes
All I can say is “Yum Yum” Super fresh, quick to serve, great service, hearty servings and reasonable pricing. I ordered the spicy burrito, as I never had a Japanese burrito. Its like a huge roll. ;) The tempura veggies were delish also! Highly recommended for takeout!
We have had takeout from here a few times, LOVE the sushi!! We dined it last night for our first time. Miranda took great care of us!! This place is so cozy with only 3 tables and 2 bar seats. We are new to town and have definitely found a place that will be one of our regular spots!! Big win: The have great options to accommodate those of us that don’t eat meat!! (I ate the sushi too fast to take a pic, oops!)
Goichi's is the place to go to for inexpensive takeout sushi. They have not raised their prices and ages, give a good product that is not fancy but at a very reasonable price. My only complaint about them is that sometimes they get so busy that you can't get take out for an hour or so. Good for them!
So this was my first time ever tasting authentic ramen, and may I say it was off the chain LOL. Not only the ramen but the sushi there is some of the best in Sarasota. Customer service exceeds expectations. Although I do not remember her name she was very friendly and down to earth. Now when you go here you have to expect a longevity of a wait. as you can see they are only open for 4 hours and are very very busy within that time frame. Plus everything is cooked to order. But I most definitely be back here!!!
This restaurant is mostly a take out place but they have two small tables to eat in. the food is excellent and the prices are extremely reasonable. They get amazing food out really fast!
This is one of the best sushi spots I've ever been to in my life. $10 for 3 rolls is insane, and I will be here soooooo many more times. I'd buy a house next door and come 5 times a week if I could. I'd sell a kidney to move them into my front yard. Good luck finding better sushi at the price. It's literally impossible.
This cafe attendant was nice & quick finding my pick up order. The sushi rolls & salad were fresh & delicious. Furthermore, their menu has a lot of options & their specials are great!!!
