The Stake Bowl was pretty good!
It's a little small in size, but it does come with tortilla chips, which is nice.
We came here on a Saturday with our family. They have a great deal on Saturdays where they offer 2 events, 2 drinks, and a starter for $20.
Aniya took or order and was very friendly and attentive to our table. The food came out quickly and was delicious! Will definitely dine here again.
Pretty darn good food. I’ve gotten a few things here and have always been satisfied. Meat portions on certain things are a little light and less filling but flavor is there for sure. I like the chimichanga with queso on top. It was recommended by a very sweet employee. I’ve been here a few times. Quality and cleanliness is always on point. They do a bunch of hot sauces instead of salsa. You have to pay extra for salsa. I’m not a big fan of any hot sauce other than cholula original so far. 4/5 is a good solid score. I like the place and end up here every couple of weeks.
Welcoming and hip. Food came out in a timely manner and was very tasty. When it comes time for a refill, you take your cup to the counter. I'm not sure if they were short handed, but there were times customers would have to wait 4 minutes while their food is on the table getting cold. If this problem could be solved, service would be 5⭐ as well.
Loved the blackened chicken chimi and the hot sauce bar. Staff is friendly!

Tijuana Flats always looks so groovy and alluring anywhere I go and see one. Even more so since I work for DoorDash and constantly pick up orders from the Lakeland location. So coming here was never and if, but a when. I just didn’t plan on going to a random one in Sarasota before hitting the Lakeland store.
I absolutely love the wacky eccentric way that all Tijuana Flats are decorated. Definitely their trademark and I am all for it. I was specifically really interested in taste testing their sauce station, which literally has probably about 20 different hot sauces to choose from. Right up my alley.
I got the burrito bowl and it was decent. Next time I go I want to either try a legitimate burrito or the enchiladas, which are always my top pick for Mexican food. I still enjoyed the bowl but I don’t feel I got the full effect.
The girl working was absolutely the sweetest person and I wish I had gotten her name because she deserves a shout out for being so friendly and accommodating. Overall, I’d come back to a Tijuana Flats. Not necessarily because it’s incredible food, but it’s still not bad and the overall experience is quite fun. I’d also recommend the peach hot sauce (yup sounds super weird but I promise you will be amazed)!
The stake floutas were delicious , great flavors. My wife had chicken fajitas, and she loved it. This is a double AAA of AAA. I definitely will be back and try the other dishes.
Massive burritos, flavorful chips, endless hot sauce options; what’s not to love? We hit Tijuana Flats up on “Taco Tuesday” for Big ole Burrito and it didn’t disappoint. Location was clean, staff was friendly, food came out quick. If you’re in the UTC area and looking for some grub, give it a shot.
What a surprise! We were in another store and it was lunch time. We saw Tijuana Flats and tried it. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. It was very busy on Tuesday. They have a special for Tacos. My husband had nachos and it was a large platter covered in beef, cheese, etc. I had shrimp tacos and enjoyed them. We will go again.
Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices. The food is good consistently. I used to get the black bean burrito, but I switched to the black bean bowl. I go for the deal on Throwback Thursdays, super economical and always a pleasure to eat here :)
