Libby's Neighborhood Brasserie

I was able to sit at the bar on a pretty busy Friday night. Service was great, the atmosphere and nice, and the food hit the spot. I had the 8oz sirloin that was cooked the way I asked, and came with delicious mashed Yukon gold potatoes and seasonal veggie sides. The seasonal veggies were chopped zucchini, squash, onion, and eggplant. It was great. This was my first experience and I would be happy to eat here again.

Great place to hang out, both indoor, outdoor or even in the bar area. We tried their tuna tataki, Avocado egg rolls and rock shrimp & blue crab lollipops. So far tuna tataki is my favorite. We also tried different martini and cocktails. I like their grilled pineapple caipirinha and their Texas Paloma also good. Check out their happy hour menu and time! They have whole day HH in certain days but you need to sit in the bar area. This place can be so packed, esp after working hour. And parking can be challenging. They have street parking or small parking area at the back of the building.

Every aspect of this place was amazing. The staff was helpful - water constantly filled and ready to help but not hovering. Ok, the food… everything has its own special twist that made it special. The pulled pork was delicious but the crispy bacon and onion straws and the sweet kick made it unique. The jalapeño mac and cheese was creamy and perfect consistency with just that little kick. The cole slaw was sweet and crunchy and there was just something special about it that set it apart. Truffle French fries? Oh my goodness. These were unbelievable. So freaking good. Crunchy yet full of the truffle oil and cheese. Wow! I’ve never had anything like them. The ribs were juicy and literally fell off the bones. Everyone says their ribs fall off the bones — these really did. They were delicious. I saved them for last because I wanted that to be the last taste in my mouth. But we left room for dessert, and the key lime martinis really did taste like key lime pie! And the cool thing was that somehow the taste went well with the rich, decadent chocolate cake. It was a wonderful place for a date night.

I stopped by Libby’s for a quick bite while traveling as i have heard endlessly of their stellar reputation. I was thrilled to find this reputation justified. The kale Caesar salad with blackened shrimp was amazing and something I will absolutely be craving. Great atmosphere and I I enjoyed my server as well. I will be back!

The appetizers were amazing! I can’t even say enough good things about them. The Mac and cheese balls are insanely good. My teen daughter and I were amazed at how good they were and they had the best Mac and cheese flavor I’ve ever tasted. The avocado egg rolls were really good and so was the pea burrata which comes with a delicious light garlic bread toast. The caprese was good and fresh. I got the impossible meat pasta which was good and my daughter got the chicken parm sandwich which she liked. We got truffle fries and they were awesome too!!!! We got dessert to go (with most of our food because we were stuffed). The key lime pie and the chocolate cake are fabulous. I would highly recommend both of those AND the Mac and cheese balls more than anything. The service was okay. When we walked in there were two people at the counter. There was a lady that was talking to the people that came in before us. She seated them shortly afterward. There was a male at the counter that did not acknowledge our presence at all and we were there for a few minutes until the lady came back and seated us. Our server was okay. He literally forgot about us more than once and even laughed and mentioned how he was eating pasta in the back and forgot about us. Our drinks were empty for over 30 mins and he took forever to come back to our table. He was friendly though and had a good personality. Toward the end when he brought boxes and got our check he was quick with it.

We took my mother here for Mother's day.  As expected they were very busy,  however we had reservations. We were seated indoors very quickly. We ordered Shrimp and Grits,  Swordfish, and poached eggs with Hollandaise. All our meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. We also had the bottomless Mimosa which was delicious,  nice and cold. The staff was patient,  friendly and very attentive.

From the moment you walk into Libby's, you are greeted with warm and welcoming ambiance. The decor is chic yet comfortable, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The menu features a wide variety of options, ranging from classic American dishes to innovative fusion cuisine. No matter what your taste preferences may be, you're sure to find something to suit your palate at Libby's. The quality of the food is exceptional, with fresh ingredients and expertly crafted dishes. The flavors are well-balanced, and the presentation is beautiful. Whether you're looking for a light and healthy meal or something more indulgent, there are plenty of options to choose from. In addition to the delicious food, the service at Libby's is top-notch. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure that you have a memorable dining experience. From recommending dishes to offering drink pairings, they are always there to help. The only downside you experienced was the open patio doors causing the entire restaurant to feel very humid. However, this is a minor issue that should not detract from the overall quality of the dining experience at Libby's. If anything, it just adds to the charm of the restaurant, as it creates a lively and vibrant atmosphere. Overall, I would highly recommend Libby's to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Sarasota, Florida. From the delicious food to the attentive service, it's a restaurant that truly stands out. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable meal, you won't be disappointed.
